TDM #5
TEST DRIVE & SIMULATION #5
▶ 001. ARRIVAL / CAFETERIA.
It happens in the blink of an eye -- a dash of time. You're taken from where you were. What you were doing.. it isn't important anymore, and slowly, you give up to desire your normal life. When you awake, figures are looking down on you from a surgical table.
"Yeah, this one will do; let's take them to the rest," That's all you see before losing consciousness again, only to wake up in a pod with many others.
"Your questions will be answered soon enough as I'm sure you will have many," a female, robotic voice says.
Just then, your pod opens in a dim corridor with many others. Your new life is about to begin... whether you like it or not.
The pods drain their stasis fluid which wakens each Outsider. When Outsiders emerge from their pod in only their undergarments which have been supplied to them and head to a locker room in the medical bay, to find a towel to dry off with, a set of gray loungewear to wear as LILITH makes the final decision in organizing the Outsider to their rightful teams. If a character has any accessibility needs, they will be found here. It's about then they will feel a sharp pain at the back of their eyes, almost like there’s a foreign body lodged on the inside of their head. This pain will subside quickly as their body adapts to the changes, but there will always be a sensation of something being not quite right. That their bodies have been changed forever. They would be correct in thinking that. In the pod, all Outsiders have been surgically fitted with ocular and brain implants that will enable them to communicate with LILITH and the rest of the crew, and feed them the information they require. Almost like a computer screen has been loaded into their brains, they will see a loading screen as the implant completes its download. A questionnaire will then pop up, waiting for their answer. A voice, robotic and feminine, will also read along in their brain for them.
█ █ █ LOADING COMPLETE … BEGIN ORIENTATION …
The system will give Outsiders one chance to provide a truthful answer and choose their username and civilian identity. Should they refuse to cooperate, the implant will download the answer directly from their brain (and give them a username or civilian name against their will). This questionnaire will then be posted on the network for all to view and reply to. Almost like an ice-breaker, if you will. LILITH wants all their newest recruits to learn about each other!
Outsiders will receive a quick brief about their situation: They will be told that the year is 2278, and they have been taken to Neo Tokyo, one of the last bastions of mankind in a world terrorized by various Kaiju and monsters. Only a third of the population remains, and LILITH has gathered talented people from other dimensions here as a last ditch effort to save humanity. Outsiders are free to continue asking LILITH questions through their implant, but there’s no guarantee they will provide them with a straight answer …
Outsiders will also notice an implant in their dominant wrist. This implant has a barcode in it that will enable them to purchase goods from the local stores in Neo Tokyo. They will receive a starting balance of 10,000 KRYPTOS (about USD 66), which is barely enough for a few good meals, groceries and supplies. They can view their current balance through a hologram window projected by their ocular implant.
While there would normally be a meal available for them in the cafeteria, this doesn’t seem to be the case this time. Robots working within the cafeteria will instead be handing out food ration bars to each Outsider. They are dense with calories and nutrition, but taste a bit like sawdust.
That familiar, robotic voice is heard again:

▶ 002. THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME.
Existing Outsiders will receive a call to report to the data portal within Las Vegas. They’ve done their parts helping to take down the worm kaiju and assisting with the clean up of the city. LILITH’s army of cleaner drones can take the rest from here. It’s been a physically and emotionally draining mission for everyone, and it’s time to head home. The beaming back to Neo Tokyo will go rather smoothly for the most part (and yes, holding someone’s hand through it still helps), but upon arrival, Outsiders might be struck with a splitting headache, nausea and vertigo. They might need an hour or so to recuperate, which they can do in their rooms or the sick bay.
New and fresh Outsiders will be given the task to take care of their seniors as they recuperate. Make sure they have water and food (even if it’s terrible ration bars). Give them a massage, or cheer them up because they’ve had such a difficult mission! It’s a great way to build bonds and get to know your teammates. Ask them what happened in Vegas! They’ll be more than happy to tell you.

▶ 003. TOO HOT TO HANDLE.
One thing Outsiders will notice immediately upon stepping foot in the Neo Tokyo base is that it is hot. Did someone forget to turn on the air conditioning? The rest of Neo Tokyo doesn’t seem to be any better. With summer approaching, the city has been hit with a heatwave, and it doesn’t help that the heat is interfering with the city’s power generators. This means that not only is it hot, but notices are popping up within everyone’s implants to be mindful of how much electricity they are using. Blackouts appear to be happening all over the base and the city. Electricity is being rationed, and when residents exceed it, it’s cut off.
This is having a devastating impact on the people of Neo Tokyo. The fact that it’s hot and there isn’t much air conditioning is one thing. Hospitals are also struggling from an influx of patients being admitted due to heat stroke, dehydration and severe sunburns. Fires are breaking out more often in the heat and this is only making things worse.
On top of it all, restaurants and stores have been greatly impacted by the electricity rations. Refrigerators and freezers are not working, so food storage is a problem and fresh ingredients are going bad. Restaurants are desperate to sell off what remains of their stock before it spoils. LILITH has been giving out food ration bars and non-perishable meals (such as canned food) and it’s been keeping the people from starving, but their subpar taste doesn’t seem to help the morale one bit.
While LILITH knows that older Outsiders have just had a difficult mission, there’s no choice but to activate them once again. A mission brief will pop up in everyone’s implants:
While things aren’t looking too great, the Neo Tokyo Meteorological Agency is promising that temperatures will go down when the rainy season comes along. There hasn’t been much rain recently, however …

█ █ █ MISSION OBJECTIVE:
✖Contain heat-wave related fires and conduct rescue operations
✖Assist hospitals to care for the influx of patients while they may not have the power to use their medical equipment
✖Distribute water and food rations to citizens in need
✖Assist restaurants and supermarkets to salvage their food supplies as far as possible
While things aren’t looking too great, the Neo Tokyo Meteorological Agency is promising that temperatures will go down when the rainy season comes along. There hasn’t been much rain recently, however …
▶ 004. WELCOME TO OKINAWA.
After a few days of continued efforts to support the people of Neo Tokyo, things seem to have calmed down. LILITH has fired up some backup generators that are able to power the hospital and essential services, most of the fires have been contained, and the hospital has been able to get its patient load under control. LILITH has stepped in to further support the city, with their drones working hard to hand out supplies and provide medical aid. Restaurants continue to struggle, but nobody is starving, and LILITH is working hard to get the power back in operation.
On July 5th, there is a message from Captain Yamakawa:

Departure is set at 1100hrs, and Outsiders will be provided a water bottle and some sunscreen. Once they step through the data portal, they will be met with soft sand, the hot sun, and clear, beautiful waves - Welcome to Okinawa! Specifically, Outsiders will find themselves in Emerald Beach. While the water is pristine, the first thing Outsiders might notice is that there are unnaturally large coconut crabs all over the shoreline; with the majority of them the size of a large dog, and the largest of them about the size of a car.
Nearby to the beach, there are many abandoned fruit farms (such as watermelon, dragon fruits, mango and pineapples) that may have fresh produce for Outsiders to harvest. With how the rift changes the environment, some of these fruits have grown humongous in size. On top of that, the water appears to be cleaner than that found in Tokyo Bay. There are fish still swimming in it, and while some of these fish appear to have mutated, they do not appear inedible.
This is probably what Captain Yamakawa means by ‘supplies’.
On July 5th, there is a message from Captain Yamakawa:
“My Angels of LILITH. You may be at ease now. Our dedicated staff will take over from here. It’s been a difficult month for us all. To show appreciation for your efforts, we have organized a company trip to allow you the appropriate rest and relaxation. We do ask that you gather some supplies since food is short in Neo Tokyo, but that should be an easy task for our talented workforce. Please report to the data portals for departure at once."

▶ 005. THIS IS A VACATION WE PROMISE.
“Are they seriously making you guys work on your vacation?! This is why we can’t leave everything up to that stiff-ass commander. This should be our beach episode! Don’t worry, your daddy Seok Dang’s got you. Take a crab, take whatever you want, have a damn barbeque! Lie on the beach until your tan comes in. Get nude! Let’s get this party started!”
(LILITH would highly discourage anyone from actually taking off their clothes.) Following Seok Dang’s message, outsiders will notice a pop-up appearing in their eyes, prompting them to accept an outfit upgrade. If accepted, they will find themselves in beach-appropriate attire (player’s choice) using LILITH’s Style Upgrade technology.
Despite Seok Dang’s bid for a party, Outsiders will have to make their own fun in this abandoned beach. They are free to do as they like, whether it’s having a swim, lying in the sand, playing a game of volleyball with an old ball that happens to be lying around, or cracking open a watermelon to share. He does try to encourage things along by sending a few gifts. Through the data portal, several drones will emerge and drop off portable grills, boomboxes, and alcohol from his private stash. For some reason he’s also unleashed a robot that is insistent on challenging Outsiders to a watermelon slicing competition. It looks like he’s serious about this beach episode …
Outsiders may travel between Okinawa and Neo Tokyo throughout the few days using the data portals. There are no resorts in operation in Okinawa, but should they choose to stay near the beach, they may set up a camp or sleep in an abandoned house or hotel.

TDM #5 BREAKDOWN/RECAP (CLICK TO EXPAND)
1. ARRIVAL PROMPT: Newcomers arrive with ocular and brain implants and told a breakdown of the premise with an icebreaker orientation to fill out. Their first cafeteria meal is food ration bars. Newcomers are placed in gray loungewear while they are being sorted into teams.
2. THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME: Senior Outsiders return from Las Vegas via the data portal and will experience side effects such as dizziness, nausea and headaches. Newer Outsiders are tasked with taking care of their senpai.
3. TOO HOT TO HANDLE: There is a heatwave and that's messed up the power grid, leading to a city-wide electricity ration. Hospitals are struggling, fires are breaking out and black outs are happening all over the city. Restaurants are struggling to store their food so there there is a shortage of fresh food. Outsiders are tasked with assisting the hospitals, containing any fires, distributing rations to citizens and assisting restaurants to salvage their supplies.
4. WELCOME TO OKINAWA: With the chaos in the city now under control, LILITH has sent all Outsiders on a vacation to a beach in Okinawa. The caveat is that they will need to gather food supplies. These supplies come in the form of a coconut crab kaiju, fresh fruit and fish.
5. THIS IS A VACATION WE PROMISE: Seok Dang is eager to get this beach party starter. He's updated the implants, allowing all Outsiders to swap into beach-appropriate attire using LILITH's Style Upgrade technology. He's airdropped portable grills, music players and alcohol for Outsiders to enjoy. There is also a robot challenging people to watermelon slicing competitions. Outsiders can do whatever they want to relax at the beach.

001. ▶ ARRIVAL / CAFETERIA.
💥 ➊ ARRIVAL.
[Another month, another influx of new blood. Bakugo's seen it happen multiple times now, always leading in with the same hiss of pods, draining fluid, and the more common stumbling out of the container intermixed with more volatile responses. Natural scowl and narrowed eyes makes for an intimidating presence as the young hero stands near the entrance of the pod room in full costume, keeping watch of the newcomers as they emerge from their pods. He's leaving the escorting to the locker rooms to other orderlies and more composed Outsiders; his job here is to make sure no one gets rambunctious and starts causing trouble, such as attacking the LILITH workers helping them out of their pods (like he did when he first woke up here). Doesn't mean he won't tell someone to get a move on if they dawdle too long on the way out of the room... Perhaps you're one of those two camps?]
💥 ➋ CAFETERIA.
[Normally the cafeteria would be serving up some kind of food, but in this case, all they're tossing out are fucking food ration bars... Bakugo really hopes that's due to the events of last month and not some effort to be stingy on LILITH's part. While he usually avoids the cafeteria in favor of cooking his own food or more rarely going out to eat, that doesn't stop him from occasionally passing through the area to police for any stragglers left behind after they emerged from the locker rooms. Perhaps if you're nice, interesting, or pathetic enough, Bakugo might have mercy and treat your noob ass to a quick meal elsewhere...]
002. ▶ THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME.
💥 ➊ HOME AGAIN. - Departure
[Good-fucking-bye to Las Vegas. Measured steps stalk towards the teleportation machine as he leaves the oven-baked city behind. The experience here was intense, a massive fluctuation between interesting beginnings and traumatic hardships. While Bakugo's pretty interested (and surprised) that LILITH broke out a whole damn army of cleaner drones -- WHERE THE FUCK HAVE THOSE BEEN ALL THIS TIME?! -- he has no intention of sticking around the place long enough to ask. There were memories and scars here he'd carry with him for the rest of his life, but nothing enough that makes him want to look back over his shoulder again. He's already done that. Doesn't make the nauseating experience of LILITH's teleport any easier though. Meaning he's grabbing the nearest Outsider's hand and dragging them towards the portal.] Let's get the fuck out of here.
💥 ➋ HOME AGAIN. - Resting
[Bakugo never thought he'd be relieved to see Neo Tokyo again. The familiar atmospheric skies compared to the desert's void of blue is only slightly less intense a relief compared to the temperate climate in Neo Tokyo. Walking out the door no longer feels like opening the oven door to a blast of scorching dry heat to the face. Even the relative humidity of the original city is more akin to what he's used to from Japan's summers. Everything, for a bit, goes back to normal. His work as a police officer, resuming his self studies from school, training in the simulator or around the city, driving around to clear his head, and spending time in his own fucking room once more. There's a lot to talk about if anyone wants to try and strike up a conversation with him.
Current CR: Use this space to find Bakugo anywhere you like and interact with him about the experiences in Las Vegas.
New CR: Use this space to encounter Bakugo in the cafeteria or the dorms, though he won't share as much about his experiences.]
003. ▶ TOO HOT TO HANDLE.
💥 ➊ TOO HOT. - Heatwave
[It's fucking HOT out here! Japan can have some pretty damn melting summers, but that doesn't make it any easier to deal with the sweltering temperatures! At least it's not the oven-door-blast dryness from Las Vegas... Better than stepping outside and needing another shower in 60 seconds? That's up for debate now. (Yes.) And now they have to deal with fucking blackouts and power rations. Why the hell is Neo Tokyo always having some kind of tech issues?! From the heaters breaking in the winter to the power outages in the spring and now this bullshit in the summer! Ugh, goddamn kaiju-stomped city. Bakugo's no stranger to the heat, but he takes what steps he can to avoid dropping himself from a heatstroke or dehydration. Feel free to find him in a few efforts to beat the heat: 1) taking to the shade for a break, 2) resting in a half-full tub of water in the dark, 3) going for a dip in a lake or pool, 4) finding a high vantage point in the city and basking in the wind, and 5) bothering someone he knows or sees with cold-related powers...]
💥 ➋ TOO HOT. - Fire Fighter
[Thick air drags at the side of his face, evaporating the sweat before it even has time to bead on his pores. He jerks back as another branch crashes downward, avoiding the shower of sparking embers. Fight fire with fire, right? Twin explosions burst from his palms, launching him upward and lining up with the trees in front of him. Bakugo focuses his Quirk, sweat oozing from his palms before he swipes both outward in an arc and slinging droplets of his sweat into the air. It only takes one crack of spark and the entire crescent goes off in a massive explosion. Kept shallow and close to him, it's not the heat and smoke he's going for, but the sheer force of the explosions sending a burst of wind through the burning area. Flames peel off the ground and away from the trees, blowing off and smothering out in the rush. Bakugo emerges from the smoke, acknowledges the fires put out, and then blasts off to another one, using similar techniques to put out the fires and keep others contained until more help arrives.]
💥 ➌ TOO HOT. - Rescue Mission
[He can't breathe. Smothering his face behind the high collar of his costume's shirt, Bakugo keeps one hand over the boy's mouth, forcing the mask-like cloth to stay put and give him a filtered breath. A beam cracks beside him and the young hero eases to the side, avoiding sudden movements as he steps out into the hallway. Heat cloys at his eyes and he blinks a few times in the blackness of his mask. The kid's clinging to him. Good, that means he's still conscious. As much as he'd like to rush forward, he can't risk the structure of the building any further. It's not bad enough it can't be saved. Stalking down the hall at a fast clip, Bakugo finally notices the light in the smoke and makes for it quickly. Turns hard on his heel and smashes his shoulder against the window, knocking the entire frame out with a shatter of glass. Fresh air and smoke rush in and out, threatening a blowback the blonde quickly emerges from the window and out onto the roof. Boots braced, he quickly slides to the edge, locates one of the Outsiders nearby, and-] HEY YOU!! CATCH!!
[Damn right he's getting ready to pitch this kid in your direction!]
004 & 005. ▶ WELCOME TO OKINAWA & VACATION.
💥 ➊ OKINAWA. - Beach Down
[Out of the frying pan and into the fire. There's a saying like that, right? That's what the first few days back from Las Vegas felt like. Thank fuck it wasn't permanent. With LILITH's generators and drones helping the support things, the Outsiders are able to take a quick breather. Loathe as he is to go back through the teleporter again, apparently this is going to be a regular part of their lives now, so... Certainly wasn't expecting to be taken to a fucking beach! The entire scenery is straight out of a vacation magazine and Bakugo's caught immediately between well deserved relief and nagging guilt they shouldn't be on vacation while people back in Neo Tokyo still struggle. Alas, he's also aware running himself exhausted isn't going to help anyone in the long run. As much as he's nagged at some of his friends when they do the same thing... Fine. Just for a little while.
Swimming: First thing's first, a plunge in the water. You can find Bakugo in the surf, powerful strokes and perfect form carrying him through, over, and under the waves. He's grabbed a black-and-orange pair of boardshorts with white drawstrings and a stylized bomb skull on the side of the leg. Want to challenge him to a race in the water? Bring it on! Want to laze with him in the ocean? Go for it. Hold your breath and dive to explore something underwater? Sure.
Skinny dip? Maybe.Surfing: Who the hell wants to know where he got that surfboard? Not fucking telling! (Okay, he brought it through the portal.) But you can find Bakugo out in the surf shredding the waves on his board, a tan-colored thing rimmed in orange and outlined in black. Cresting the wave tops, sliding down the backs, shooting the curls, or even ramping off the crests and pulling a trick or two before splashing down (purposeful) or sticking the landing. Maybe, if you ask nice, he'll try and teach you... or challenge someone if they also have a board. He's competitive.
Volley Ball: BRING IT ON, LOSER!! That's what you hear from him as Bakugo readies the volleyball in one hand, preparing to serve. It's not hard to suss out a volleyball net or make one of their own. The court's drawn in the sand with hands or feet and now it's just a matter of maintaining the lines and keeping score. Are you on his team, prepared to give your all to "slaughter these assholes" alongside your captain? Are you on the opposite team, shoring up to take on Bakugo's explosively aggressive sportsmanship? Or are you simply watching this boy try to turn a volleyball game into a bloodbath? Choice is yours.]
💥 ➋ OKINAWA. - Fruity Crabs
[Count this as the first time he's seen "kaiju" that aren't actually kaiju. They say monstrously-sized coconut crabs when they really mean "that's a lot of meat" and apparently it's free to harvest. Why is there a food shortage when LILITH can teleport people to ready food ingredients? Something you might hear Bakugo griping about as he cracks a crab over the head with a small explosion, killing it instantly. Or find him cooking one over a fire, ripping legs and claws off to more easily roast, cracking open the shell to get to the meat, and otherwise looking like he knows damn well how to cook a crab, serve it, and eat it.
Otherwise, he's focusing on the fruit, using a knife to cut them off the vines/stems or simply ripping them off with a sharp tug around the body. It might be odd to start eating rift-influenced fruits, but at this point, Bakugo's stopped giving a shit for the moment. He'd rather grab a knife and start chopping these things up with expert precision, leaving watermelon slices, mango cubes, dragon fruit wedges, and pineapple rings arranged for people to come by and grab to go along with their crab. Why the hell are there no coconuts here?
While Bakugo's going to avoid any alcohol, he will get roped into challenging that shitty robot to a watermelon slicing contest. Expect his usual bombastic-but-skillful performance. NOTE: If you want to spend the night with Bakugo on the beach, he'll set up a campfire, but it's bring-your-own-bedding for this one.]
4: Swimming
Oooooiiiii! Bakugo, heya!! Guess what?! We're on the same team! Ain't that great??
[What's really great is that if Yato gets set on fire, he has plenty of water to put himself out with, really. That and there's nothing and no one else to get caught in the (probably inevitable) blast once he tries the teenager's patience enough.]
friendo!
Pretend you don't notice him. Don't hear, don't see, don't give a shit. Bakugo's glaring death into the ocean before him, back staying pointedly faced towards the god currently splish splashing his way towards him. Ugh...]
WHAT THE HELL?! [Same team?! Like-- the same fucking dorm?! FUCK!! What cruel trick is this?!] I THOUGHT YOU FUCKING DIED, BAKAMI!!
yeaaah! sorry for the slow reply! busy week;;
Which is why he paddles right on up to Bakugo and pauses at his outburst, stunned in more ways than one.]
Wha... Really? You were... worried about me?? [Uh oh, now he's tearing up. Idiot.] Bakugo--! That's so sweet of you! Don't fret, I'm fine! I think I went back home for a bit, but this time they gave me a room and everything, so I guess that means I'll be staying for a while! We're gonna be dorm buddies, isn't that awesome?!
gugh, tell me about it...
[He almost made it through the complete, deliberate ignorance. But then someone had to drop that bomb and the explosion is called forth. Does Yato really want to make a habit of ever antagonizing this walking bomb of a brat? He's already blown up the lobby of the transport station! Though how much damage he can get to out here in the ocean is probably a factor in Yato's favor.
Bakugo really should have expected something stupid to come out of Yato's mouth. It's typical of him, even from the once instance he had meeting with the guy. And yet, somehow, some fucking way-!]
Na-?! DON'T FUCK WITH ME!! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?! DIE!!
[Hope Yato likes that float cause he's gonna go FLYING in it! KA-BOOM!! Bakugo slams an explosion-- BOTH HANDS --into the water and sends the guy sailing from that massive plume of rage.
He wasn't fucking worried!! And to top it all off, Yato's ALSO an Everlight?! FUUUCK!!]
it's that time of year!
isn't it always?
sure seems like it;;

beach down
he had a good hour before it gets dark, the warm colors of the sky made a perfect view as he grabbed one of those big ass inflatable floating beds. yeah, he fucking did that and he's proud of it. if there was a group trying to snatch one of these bad boys for a ride, then it sucks for them as he got it first. it had enough space for him to stretch and relax, put on a pair of (cheap) sunglasses, and enjoy a cool watermelon smoothie. what's the destination? wherever the flow of the waves takes him. he didn't fucking care.
a few minutes later, they finally crossed paths— and he glanced over to see bakugou on his surfboard. this guy just got better from his injuries in vegas and he's already doing insane backflips and shit on water. denji was annoyed for one hot second before he 'honked' at him, hands on the steering wheel with a mischievous grin. ]
Hey, stranger. Wanna join me on my hot ride?
[ 'how to turn off the guy you're dating in less than 5 seconds' - by denji. ]
no subject
in this case, however, hitting the waves during sunset was a good combination of comparatively cooler air and sea. still hot enough to make a wipe out a purposeful escape. oh come on, denji. don't be mad at him for being a stubborn recover. it's been almost two weeks since that disastrous mess. between the medical wings and the healing implants people have, bakugou's made good time on his healing. certainly not a parade of old granny kisses from his homeworld, but the end results are about the same.
he hears a "honk" noise and pulls his board to the side, cutting across the wave and escaping the curl to slide down the back and end up floating to a stop beside denji. he goes down on one knee atop the board before easing his leg into the water, then the other to straddle the surface and float by his cruising boyfriend. tch, the half-devil looks like a cheesy pool model in the most ridiculous inflatable car bed float he's ever seen. and saying equally cheesy lines to boot...]
I'm gonna need to see your license.
[but... no one said bakugou's immune to an occasional taunt.]
no subject
despite all the tension simmering through his little noggin, the half-devil hasn't lost himself in it. his coping mechanism is an unhealthy mixture of 'feeling everything at once' and 'fuck it', while the events of vegas are still lurking in the shadows of his mind, it didn't stop him from admiring bakugou's surfer and beach vibes, and let's not forget it's super endearing when they match each other's freak. it's a rare delight that never failed to warm his heart and bring a smile to his face. ]
You don't need a license to drive this! [ he then gestures at the side of his floaty, where it's written 'fun boy'. this keeps getting worse, right? at least denji is humored by it. he then lifts his glass and nods in a greeting. ] Trust me. I know the law.
[ finally, he sits up, pushing his sunglasses up and over his head. he's not sure if the floating bed can handle the additional weight even when it's designed to accommodate two people, it felt like with the unsteady waves they might end up rolling off. wouldn't that be funny, though? anyway, it didn't stop denji from leaning over the edge a bit, beckoning bakugou to have a taste of his beverage to cool off, stretching an arm out to offer him the drink to take. ]
Don't complain. It's all natural ... [ -and nothing like the fizzy sodas denji tends to slurp on. ]

3, Rescue
READY!
no subject
Get ready to fly, kid.
[Before practically peeling the now-terrified youngster off his shoulders and chest, and pitching the kid off the roof. Ignore the screaming. What a hero. But his aim's as true as his intensity, even making sure the kid's no flipping end over end in midair.]
Not a scratch!
no subject
Putting that aside he focuses on the hatchling he just caught. The youngster is shaken, possibly a little stirred, but otherwise unharmed. ]
Hatchling's fine!
[ He sets the child down to their feet, pats their head in what he thinks is reassurance, and let's the approaching emergency humans take take over there. He turns his attention back up to the spikey loud ones, reassuring his catcher's stance. ]
You next. Quick!
no subject
HATCHLING?! Did that guy just say "hatchling" like it's normal?! Bakugo is already making his way to another second-floor window, intending to go back inside to make sure there's no one else left.]
Urusei! I don't need it! You wanna help, grab a hose!
[With that, he smashes in the glass and swings back inside the building. It'll be about five minutes before he reappears again.]

Arrival (Like I'm going to miss an opportunity to harry you <3)
Speaking of a lot, there was a lot being said at him and it wasn't making sense as he was ushered into a locker room for clean clothes then back out again with some quick gesturing on where to go, as if everyone just sort of assumed Sora knew where to go and what was going on. He'd only just started to try and sort that out for himself when a stabbing pain flared up behind his eye to leave him clutching at hand over it and absolutely disorientated by the blinding sensation as he stumbled back and knocked into one of the people he could only guess were orderlies with enough force to send them tumbling into the floor and the next person beside them.
And so on, and so on. In a very short amount of time, there was a domino effect happened as people toppled into each other or into various medical devices around them. And he still couldn't see through the eye watering pain to realize what was going on around him. He was an absolute menace to the nice and stable order that had been so efficiently taking place up until that moment, standing out like the sore eyes that he had.]
(Dammit couldn't you marv me instead? <3)
That's not his problem. All he's there to do is make sure no one starts a fight while people figure out where to go or what to do when dumped out in this new world. Wai- what the fuck?! He caps a bottle of water and twists around with a glare when raucous noises fill the room, eyes widening as a comedic scene of chaos spills around in front of him. A whole line of people falling like dominoes, clipboards clattering to the ground, medical devices rolling or swinging, a few experimental ocular holograms fizzling out.
Shouts and noises ring out, a single head of brunette spikes sticking out plainly in the divide between collapsed and standing. Guess we know whose fault it is... Bakugo stalks towards the guy, immediately noticing the way he's clutching his head and blinking over and over. Tch, so it wasn't some damn prank or rebellious troublemaker.]
Don't press on your eyes, dammit! You'll just make it worse.
(But Darling, what will the neighbours think?)
Make what worse?! What is going on?! [Great. And now someone was yelling at him, too. If he wasn't so well-adjusted (which is what Sora was going with, thank you there will be no questions at this time), he might have started to panic and lash out to keep everyone back until he could figure out what was happening to him.
He was still blinking rapidly as his vision started to clear up except for the weird kind of interface looking images that seemed to frame his eyesight. Sora shook his head a couple of times before he turned his head to find out who exactly it was that had told him to leave his eyes alone, equal parts pained and confused. Kind of a crap way to start the day, frankly.]
(That's one robber of a party in there.)
003.1
While Bakugo is cooling off in the shade, Tsurumaru will come up from behind......... and place a cold bottle of green tea against the back of his neck.)
no subject
He hears someone coming up behind him, but doesn't bother to mention it, eyes closed and hands behind his head. Maybe they'll go away if he ignores them. Not in the mood to-]
AGH!! [Bakugo's voice goes higher than he'd admit to as he jolts forward, one hand snapping to his neck as shoulders hunch and his spine goes electric ice. He twists around with a glare.] Jiji! What the hell?!
[Rub rub rub... cold drink... Tch. He turns around, dropping his hand to bare his neck.]
Put it back.
[Enjoy your whiplash, Tsurumaru.]

Eh?

1.2 Cafeteria
The sharp pain behind his eyes gets an almost animalistic growl out of him. It was the first time he had ever had pain behind his eyes. What exactly had they done? Though, he does notice the loading screen and is confused before the female voice reads what the screen is in his eyes is putting up.
Noting the barcode along his wrist has him curious. Not that he has ever had the need to eat. It does not, however, stop him from finding the cafeteria where he is handed a food ration bar. However, it does not get eaten. Nor does he trust the voice, Synthia, in his head.
Of course, that food ration bar is probably handed off to the nearest person to him. Whoever was close would have more use of it than himself as he has never eaten anything before. ]
no subject
Once the pods are all clear, he relocates to the cafeteria, not feeling the need to police the locker rooms where people are changing and getting their shit put together. Somewhat. Watching them mill around the larger room with little but a ration bar and water to go on is pretty damn sad, especially considering the relative meal he had on his first arrival. Army MRE's weren't the best, and the following two rounds of newcomers had actual food, but this?
He blinks when a food bar is passed off to him, catching it before the damn thing falls on the floor.] Oy, you're gonna wanna eat this, bastard. I'm not dragging your unconscious body to your room.
no subject
He raises a brow and cat-like green eyes look toward Bakugo. ]
I have no use for such things. Nor would you be dragging my body anywhere.
[ Did he need it? Truly need it? That was something he would find out soon enough. Even more so that his body has a chance to slow down. ]
