Hello Outsiders, and welcome to this round’s CR meme and OOC intro post for new players. Below are some notes, along with a schedule of upcoming events.

▶ For new players/characters, please respond to the taken list as soon as you can. The mods rely on the taken list to maintain accurate player count.
▶ As a reminder, we do have an unofficial player-run Discord server that any player is welcome to join at any time.

▶ MOD NOTE: REGARDING THE OCTOBER EVENT.

As an important addition, October's kaiju will have a special twist: an opt-in chance for a change in Outsiders' memories. This opt-in choice will have content warnings for memory manipulation and hallucinations during the event.

Outsiders will have the option of believing they have always lived in Neo Tokyo, always worked for LILITH to tackle the kaiju problem and been present in this world since birth. As this will be a plot point that you might want to plan out and discuss with fellow Outsiders beforehand, we wanted to give you the chance to plan out your "Neo Tokyo AUs" with one another before the event hits in October.

NOTE: This is entirely opt-in. No one is required to have this memory change, and they'll be able to notice their friends' changes in memory. Eventually they might have an opportunity to save them! Both roles will have an equal amount of importance in the event, so either choice will have plenty of things to do!

Question about the AU for non-humans, can or will it needed for the AU for them to think they've always been human/thus be perma-cloaked for the AU? Or is that up to player discretion?

CHARACTER: Raidou Kuzunoha XIV
CANON & CANON POINT: Devil Summoner manga, chapter 18. Takes place after both games.

CIVILIAN NAME & OCCUPATION: Johei Narumi, shinto priest trainee

CHARACTER BLURB:
Raidou is the main protector of The Capital of Japan, saving it from existential supernatural threats of all kinds, mostly demons. He also has demons that he commands and fights alongside with like Megaten pokemon. Sadly, he has none here with him. He's a highly trained swordsman and marksman, and takes his job very seriously. Hailing from 1922, he lived a very sheltered life being trained from the time he could hold a sword, taken in as an orphaned infant by the Kuzunoha clan and raised to be a summoner.

Raidou is reserved and wary of new people at first, but warms up over time. At first he will be overly formal and polite, almost cold, but eventually you might get to see his more warm and playful side. He cares very deeply about helping others. Currently he doesn't have any demons here to use in battle, and he's come from a canon point where he's failed big time and thinks he's dead (he's not). He keeps very busy, a workaholic type, who can be found in the training rooms, library, or kitchen, or the shrine near the base.

NEO TOKYO AU: I'm so bad at AUs, so I might keep Raidou from being manipulated. He will, of course, do everything he can to help those who need it.

If your character is AUed and you want to fit Raidou into your life, he can just... not be Raidou. He was never a devil summer, not a swordsman. He's just Johei Narumi, local mild-mannered priest trainee and gardener.

CR YOU'D LIKE TO INCORPORATE: Whoever wants me!
CR YOU COULD OFFER: The unrelenting force who'll stop at nothing to fix everything.

CR YOU WANT: Raidou has been here for nearly two years, so I welcome any CR - whether our characters just haven't crossed paths in all that time, or you're newer. He likes helping newbies. Mostly what I need are those who are patient with slow burn CR, since Raidou is slow to open up to people.

PLANS & GOALS:
A good listener, a training partner, a newbie helper, someone to help you on a project. He's somewhat quiet, a good worker, loves to keep busy. Find him hovering around his close CR (Yuji especially) like a phantom.

Ironically Yugamu's great at people who are slow to open up because he is out of necessity extremely accepting of others. He thinks Raidou is neat and will offer to help out with the garden if it comes up! He will keep trying to plant things like Belladonna and Weed behind Raidou's back but he will also genuinely help.

CHARACTER BLURB: High-intelligence, low-wisdom artificer with a magic robot sidekick that was his best friend when he was a kid. Taryon is a rich nerd who went full Don Quixote and left home to be an adventurer, only to end up making his first group of friends and addressing his Personal Issues. Nowadays he's offering his magic engineering skills to be helpful and useful. He's a support caster, so he's always offering to build things for other characters or boost their stats.

NEO TOKYO AU: Not sure if I will be doing this, but if I am, Taryon is the son of a corrupt and wealthy businessman who cute ties with his family and wound up joining LILITH to have some place to live while he practices living like a normal person.
CR YOU'D LIKE TO INCORPORATE: Friends who took pity on him and took him in after he cut ties off with his family?
CR YOU COULD OFFER: Some rich weird nerd who probably paid you before he left home for some small job?

CR YOU WANT: Generally, more friends, people he talk to about TV shows, books, philosophy, compare the cultures of their homeworlds! And idiots that get each other into trouble.
PLANS & GOALS: It's going to be the anniversary of Taryon's death in Synflux so I'm thinking to have him ruminate on how that changed things and possibly reach out to CR pre-death to close up some lingering worries?

CHARACTER BLURB: Yuji Itadori is the protagonist of JJK and is an optimistic, kind-hearted kid who just wants to do his best and save people while stuck in a canon that wants nothing more than to traumatise him. He's physically strong, determined and an overall sweetheart, but is dealing with the consequences of the six month horror show his life has been back home - and the extra months of trouble being in Neo Tokyo has brought him lately.

CR YOU'D LIKE TO INCORPORATE: I'm happy to have Yuji as part of other people's memories/AUs if you want him to be, so he can be extra confused and freaked out by whatever is going on!
CR YOU COULD OFFER:

Yuji is very pro-LILITH generally, so can offer some good CR there to develop a character's view of the organisation.

He can frequently be found doing training, practicing, sparring, etc, all with his new techniques still developing, so he's a good option for a training partner.

A semi-decent cook, he can be found hanging around in the cafeteria helping out there.

It's very well known that Yuji has been with the organisation since the first round of Outsiders was brought way back when, so he's a decent enough source of information and details about what it's like to be here, for old and new alike.

He's also done a bunch of the upgrades and experiments (healing touch, teleportation, style chip, room upgrade) so he can talk about those as well.

He is friendly and outgoing, so easy to get good CR with.

His close CR include his canonmates (Megumi, Geto, Choso, Gojo, Yuta, Nanami, sorry not you Toji) and his close friends ingame (Raidou [boyfriend], Bakugo, Silco, Ratio, etc) so there are easy CR chances there too.

Local boy is getting therapy! Ask him about it, if you want.

CR YOU WANT: Yuji is my more social character, so I have a lot of great CR! My interests lie in developing that but also anyone who wants to be his friend, sparring partners, etc. He's also a goody-two-shoes, so negatvive CR with the more morally dubious folks would be fun.

CHARACTER BLURB: As the eldest of the turtle brothers, Raphael is typically the protector of the gaggle of them. Despite his age, he's often trying to help others and has golden retriever good boy syndrome when it comes to interactions with others, hoping to see the good in people first and foremost. With his ninpo powers, he's often shielding and punching his way through whatever threat he might be taken head on.

This boy does hold grudges though so if he thinks you're bad news, you're probably going to be on his distrust list.

NEO TOKYO AU: I'm assuming that since he's got to be cloaked since he's non-human, this would be a human version of him for this AU? So probably human boy running around. I LOVE AUs and the first thing that made me think of was a gruffer bounty hunter Raphael, probably stalking people in the city to haul them in or get whatever they stole from whoever hired him, etc.
CR YOU'D LIKE TO INCORPORATE: I'm down for anything
CR YOU COULD OFFER: If not AU'd? Raph is definite big brother material. If you need a buddy or a hug, he'll be there. If AU'd up, he's going to probably be a dick to people he doesn't know, unless you can pay him. That said, he'll still have some sliver of good boy nature in there so he'll probably bitch about it but also help people out if it involves him somehow.

CR YOU WANT: Anything, really. Raph could use more friends! People to hug! Otherwise I love getting characters into trouble. He might be shy at first with humans, since he's used to being seen as "big and scary" since he's huge and, you know, a mutant turtle. I love characters getting closer and building relationships with each other so I'm always down for exploring this.

The first kaiju he's actually fought he was the one to get the killing blow on it so he's still kind of dealing with the fact that while it was a successful mission, people were warped from the rifts (himself included) and isn't sure how to feel about it given that he and the teams need to be protected too. So maybe some reassurance for him?

PLANS & GOALS: Not really anything concrete! I keep laughing at the fact that this big guy keeps making friends with all the ladies since he's a gentleman to them. Just trying to vibe and put him out there to meet more people since he only knows so many of the LILITH crews.

ABOUT YOU: I never know what to put here. Hi! I'm Lins, I live in the Midwest with my two cats, Thor and Casserole! My hobbies are mostly video games (I play Wuthering Waves, Genshin Impact, FF14 and WoW pretty regularly, and my fave game series are Final Fantasy and Persona!), but I'm branching out into old school character shrine making because I miss ye olden dayes of the web. I'm also trying to get back into embroidery but it's hard to source supplies around here that aren't from, like, Hobby Lobby so it's been a bit slow going. I work 2nd shift in a support role for my local utility company, so if the weather is Bad(tm) I'm pulling 12+ hour days. CHARACTER BLURB: The last of a mystical race of people known as the Cetra, Aerith has inherited a destiny almost too great for her to carry, but she does so with a smile and a bit of sass. She looks like your average cottagecore pretty princess, but Aerith grew up in the slums and isn't afraid to throw down (within her capability) when necessary. She's lived her life hunted by the oligarchy that runs the city of Midgard (and, to be honest, the entire planet of Gaia), but she's never really given up on living her life on her terms. However, even though she's very extroverted, she still keeps a soft distance from others, like she's hiding a secret she can't let out.

NEO TOKYO AU: I'm still brainstorming this, but I do know she's definitely working in a flower shop of some kind! She's also a childhood friend of Cloud's, and has met back up with him for the first time in a long time.

PLANS & GOALS: I'm hoping to get Aerith a job at the flower shop (Tsurumaru, hit her up!!), and I'd also like her to get a community vegetable garden started at the Tokyo base! Probably in a makeshift greenhouse of sorts over the fall and winter, and then outside once it gets warmer. She will be decorating the Redemption common areas with flowers and greenery, too.

CHARACTER BLURB: Tsurumaru "Actual Agent of Chaos" Kuninaga. He's a 1000+ year old sword spirit. His true form is the sword he carries at his side. He's from the year 2205 and fights to protect history from evil spirits that want to change it. Tsurumaru is beautiful, cool, reliable, and an absolute gremlin. He loves surprises which often means indulging in pranks like digging pitfalls, jumping out from around corners, and sticking googly eyes on everything. He has attachment issues because he has sad white haired anime boy trauma but I promise he's good and actually likes most people. For the most part he's okay until he ends up in battle and gets a little too hype about getting sTaInEd ReD wItH bLoOd because he's cranekin and needs to dye himself red some how.

NEO TOKYO AU: Gonna AU Tsurumaru! He's a whimsical and kind of eccentric agent for LILITH who has probably lost his immediate family and a lot of allies to kaiju attacks/etc. Was passed around his remaining family and raised by his well-off but kind of quirky uncles. Loyal to his comrades, reliable in any situation, still largely the same Tsurumaru but without centuries of baggage. Happily engaged to Aki.
CR YOU'D LIKE TO INCORPORATE: Past schoolmates, childhood friends, coworkers, juniors to mentor/lead... I'm pretty open to a lot of things!

CR YOU COULD OFFER (AU):

✧ Proficient and creative fighter, especially with a sword so he could easily be a sparring buddy/comrade
✧ Despite being a menace, he's really sharp (heh) and is a reliable leader and warrior/soldier. He could easily serve in someone's unit(?) or have led someone's in the past.
✧ A known prankster that causes (harmless) trouble for everyone
✧ Despite being human in this au... I guess he still acts kind of like an old man sometimes.
✧ If you aren't AU'ing your character, I'd also be down for him to like... think you ARE part of the AU and assume CR too if you want.

CIVILIAN NAME & OCCUPATION: Shōri Bakudan, Police officer & part-time Demolitions engineer as needed

CHARACTER BLURB: In a world where superheroes (and villains) are the global society, with 80% of the world's population possessing a Quirk, a superpower ranging from lame to awesome, Bakugo is a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School, training to become a Pro Hero & aiming to become the greatest hero in history. Adopting the hero name "Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight", Bakugo has proven to be one of the strongest students in Class 1-A, and in the entire new generation of upcoming heroes. A natural-born genius and gifted combatant, he utilizes the powerful and versatile Quirk, Explosion, which allows him to secrete nitroglycerin-like sweat from the palms of his hands and ignite it on command, creating strong explosions. Generally, Bakugo is not an easy person to get along with (crude, arrogant, short-tempered, aggressive) but his experiences in canon have humbled him and matured him to a calmer degree. Bakugo's from the end of his series now, having survived a big war in canon, but more detail would be very spoiler, so let's leave it at that.

CR YOU WANT: I'm totally open to anything, from positive CR to negative CR. Bakugo doesn't do "friends" (he won't admit it) so expect to be called "extras" until you gain his hard-earned respect. Rivalries and training partners are loved, as are people who can get past his aggressive shell and pester the heck out of him. It's not impossible to make friends with him, as he has plenty here, but he's stubborn about admitting it publicly. I'm even down for enemies if you want to make CR difficult when they inevitably get smashed together on missions.

CR YOU CAN OFFER: Most CR is going to start negative with him at first, though he'll view it as "required" since there are missions to do. Expect it to be militaristic and distanced for a while. That said, he's a hero, so he'll protect, save, fight, and win to get the job done with 100% undisputed victory. If you want someone talented to spar against or speculate/plan with, then Bakugo's someone to opt for on your team. If you don't mind the spikes. Or if you like poking proverbial explosive beehives on your downtime, come bother him... Here are some general prompts for Bakugo's life:

💥 Training. Martial arts, Quirk (superpowers), acrobatics, and occasional weapons. He's good for a spar with anyone, and can be cajoled into teaching, but you have to make it worth his time. Find him in the simulator when it gets up in running, or on the outskirts of the city.
💥 Cooking. Bakugo's an amazing cook and almost always makes his own meals rather than eating at the cafeteria or restaurants (latter's for going out with people). He doesn't like people cooking with him unless they prove they don't suck, so if you wanna learn from him, prepare for aggressive teaching.
💥 Studying. Bakugo takes self-taught classes at Neo Tokyo's university, so you can find him in the library reading or studying. He's a good tutor, albeit rough in lesson style, so if you wanna cram session with him about something, feel free.
💥 Informant. Bakugo's one of the original group, having been here since the very first batch of Outsiders. If you can put up with his blunt comments, he'll get you up to speed on most things you're curious about. Caution, he's very opinionated about some stuff.
💥 Plants. Bakugo routinely scours the areas outside Neo Tokyo for medical plants, specifically the pain killing kind. He has a collection of them in the greenhouse in Neo Tokyo and a nursery in Okinawa with Raidou's new greenhouse project. If you want to join him in collecting and cultivating, let me know.
💥 Recovery. Bakugo's currently healing from some serious injuries he earned in the war back home, so regularly engages in active physical therapy for his right arm. If you wanna help him, well... you can ask? Fair warning: colder weather is going to start affecting his injuries/scars, so this will probably be a thing closer to winter.
💥 CR List. Bakugo's closest friends are Denji (boyfriend), Yuji (best friend), Raidou (close friend), Yato (close friend), Shoto (close friend and canonmate), Izuku (childhood friend and canonmate), Vash (close friend), Kadaj (close friend). He lost a number of friends the past few months, but has accepted this trend. They're back home now.

PLANS & GOALS: Generally taking it easy this month. Bakugo's been through a lot in the first half of the year, so he's kind of resting for now. Likely not going to AU him since he already went through brainwashing, got back from a canon update in Jan, and his memories of home are important drives for his character. Alas!

NEO TOKYO AU: former local delinquent, tasuke fujiwara, was recently reunited with his twin brother (Shirou) after years of separation, and is trying to at least stop acting like a criminal to be a better brother, hence his employment with LILITH after managing some very high scores on endurance and tactical adaptability assessments... but since muramasa already has an artificial personality made from another person, and is technically three different spirits in one body, you really can't fit another, fake history in there and have it stick. so he's aware things aren't real! the problem arises from the fact that he can perceive the suffering in others (DO THE VIBE CHECK FOR ME PLEASE) and many of the other au'd outsiders are happier as their AU selves than they are with their canon memories, making him unwilling to break kayfabe.

CR YOU'D LIKE TO INCORPORATE: If your character has a Neo Tokyo AU that's HAPPIER/got less suffering in it than canon, pLEASE consider filling out the Karmic Vibe Check for me so i can torment Muramasa with an new, awful experience of Percieving people (with the knowledge that he'll have to ruin it later). his au past can involve some shifty work with Crime Elements or just general delinquency. he works hard and absolutely is the kind of delinquent who gets into fights with people who Deserve it! he's available as a former classmate, a current coworker, or a guy who has weirdly good interactions with your fiance for some goddamn reason, whatever goes! probably can be involved in au histories with yuta, yuji (who isn't actually experiencing the au but is a part of memories) and shirou.

He was recently freed from Cazador's control by getting kidnapped by some mindflayers and implanted with a parasite that would normally also turn him into a mindflayer but a mysterious benefactor that wants him to aid in saving the world prevents it from doing so. NEO TOKYO AU: OKAY SO... he is going to be permacloaked and believe he has always been Shiki Hamato. He's going to be a bit more socially balanced, due to Shiki not being raised in a sewer with only four other people to interact with in his most fragile time. He's very much a young tech person in LILITH as in not very combat oriented, and I am cool with working him into others AUs as either friends or family (aka if his brothers are also being AU'd?) or LILITH associates.
