Below are a couple of notes, along with a schedule of upcoming events.

CHARACTER BLURB: A shonen protagonist who takes a beating and gets up every single time! Yuji comes across as a chipper, excitable teenager, but there’s a whole lot of grief and loss buried under the surface. He’s got insane physical strength, cursed every and some new techniques thanks to his canon update, and he’s also got some Synflux upgrades too!

CR YOU WANT:

More adult CR! Yuji works really well as a student/mentee and if your adult is the kind to want to protect kids well… He’s sixteen and broken! Help him out.

Cross team CR - I think Yuji has a pretty solid footing in Everlight, but more people from all over would be great.

Negative CR - harder to get with Yuji, but if you’re someone with no respect for life, a murderer, ‘bad’, etc, it could lead to tension!

Upgrade talk! Yuji is very open about having both healing touch and teleportation and will talk about it if asked, including side effects and how it works.

PLANS & GOALS: I'm aiming for Yuji to get to more grips with his own self-sacrifical nature, to learn to take care of himself better and everything in between, so that's his mini goal right now!

I'm a 30+ gal who's been rping, uh, half my life at this point?! So therefore there's a lot of names I recognize, so if we've run into each other before, hi! I took a several years long break from RP but came back in 2022, so if you remember a Christy in the past, that's me, most likely! Otherwise...

My other major hobby is cosplay! I make highly detailed costumes that are generally 100% made from scratch, and I attend conventions all over the USA to wear them and make friends! Other than cosplay, I also play Dungeons and Dragons (currently DMing Descent to Avernus, starting Witchlight nebulously soon) and video games (unfortunately, I am into Honkai Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero atm,,,). CIVILIAN NAME & OCCUPATION: David Suchil—a bartender at a local dive bar. I'll think of info for it/submit it once I'm comfier in the game lore, but coming to bother him at work is absolutely CR I'd love.

CHARACTER BLURB:
Overly talkative, friendly, violent, vicious. Chainsmoker. Loves guns and warfare, can't hit a target if his life depended on it. Annoying older brother. Loyal partner. Harsh mentor. Your best friend that you never hope to meet.

Tezcatlipoca is the very literal god of the Aztec pantheon with an expansive set of domains under his purview. In his canon, he's an antagonist in a story arc with a complicated role to play that fits his oftentimes contradictory natures as a god well. Tezcatlipoca is a harsh, ruthless god that seeks a bloody and grand battlefield, and he's also a god that coolly welcomes the spirits of the dead to the afterlife to hear their final regrets. He's fickle and often difficult to understand, but he cares deeply for people, not only individually, but as a larger concept.

CR YOU WANT:
waugh.... like not to do the stereotypical "i'm a newbie give it all to me" but. seriously, I do. so, let me direct you to the next section to see how we can hit it off!!

CR YOU CAN OFFER:

• A (Morally Questionable) Mentor! So, Tezcatlipoca's main objective as a god is to make people stronger, but this does not mean physical strength (though it can be a part of it). Tezcatlipoca favors people who are facing down impossible odds, and once he knows about that kind of struggle, he'll do what he feels is helpful to support someone having the best possible chances of acheiving it. However, he will almost never straightforwardly say this (instead referring to it as a "Trial"), and his attention in this way does tend to be harsh. He deeply believes in pushing people to acheive their greatest human potential. However, you might, uh, die in the process. It's fine. (Obviously anyone interested in this would not actually die unless you want them to, but to give you a sense of his intensity)


• He'll Talk Your Ear Off! Do you have a stick in the mud character who doesn't really talk to people? Good news. Tezcatlipoca does not care. ♥ He would talk to a brick wall if he thought it was listening to him. Or, more seriously, he does actually do well with more reserved characters! He can be very pushy and annoying to get them out of their comfort zone if he decides that's needed, but he can also be quieter and more reserved himself. He's very emotionally intelligent, so he works with matching these characters where they're at well.
  
  Or, you know, if you also play someone who's more extroverted, he loves that too. He's very much a people-person!


• He Loves Violence! As a god overseeing conflict and seeking out harsh battlefields, Tezcatlipoca is pretty fight-happy despite his fairly laid-back demeanor. If you want someone to spar with or someone to fight alongside, he'll be the first to volunteer. He's an excellent hand to hand combatant. He's an abysmal ranged combatant. Someone please take his stupid ass to a shooting range or smth (it won't help)


• Okay Like I Guess He Can Be Intelligent Sometimes. Tezcatlipoca is a character with a weird view of, well. Everything. In canon, he's omniscient, omnipotent, and is able to see the future, so his understanding of the world(/World) is very strange and almost alien because of how far-removed from mortal experience it is. It can be hard to get him talking about his views seriously, but he's actually pretty decent at having conversations about it with others. If you have a character who is wondering about their place in the world or just likes to talk cosmology and other esoteric subjects, he will, and that's also something I always enjoy writing.

CR YOU WANT: It can go one of two ways: People that prove his point ( that humans are all terrible and they should be killed ) or people that don't ( well-meaning folks who make him semi-regret all the murder ). I desperately need to get him out in the open, and maybe make him some allies, though that can be hard with all the negative thoughts and calling people monkeys, so potentially people that might need his help? Honestly I'm not sure, I want everything and anything. Texting buddies for sure, please. He's so stupid. I need someone to eat him.

CHARACTER BLURB:

alma is a half-maga who works as a troubleshooter (aka jack of all trades problem solver) in the gokurakugai district. magas are essentially disaster beasts or monsters created from the resurrected corpses of humans and animals. he was picked up by tao eirs two years ago and he has been working for his kick ass boss lady ever since. very loyal and dedicated to her.

having grown up on the streets as an orphan, alma has a bit of an attitude, but he's a genuinely good guy at heart. he is friendly, kind and empathetic, and his trust can easily be won through his stomach.

he also has an extremely sharp nose, which allows him to smell lies. :') so, don't go lying to this boy because he will call you out for it. i have an opt out here for those who aren't interested in this mechanic.

ABOUT YOU: An old lady who talks too much. Also I wanted to give a head's up that in the last month or two i've been dealing with some pretty disruptive health problems and am currently tagging much slower than normal. Hoping to be back on my normal bullshit soon.

CHARACTER: Raidou Kuzunoha XIV
CANON & CANON POINT: Devil Summoner; specifically the manga (ch. 18). It takes place after both video games.

CIVILIAN NAME & OCCUPATION: Johei Narumi, shinto priest in training and part-time ramen cook at Hanabi Izakaya

CHARACTER BLURB: Raidou is the main protector of The Capital of Japan, saving it from existential supernatural threats of all kinds, mostly demons. He also has demons that he commands and fights alongside with like the Megaten version of pokemon. Sadly, he has none here yet with him. He's a highly trained swordsman and marksman, and takes his job very seriously. Hailing from 1922, he lived a very sheltered life being trained from the time he could hold a sword, taken in as an orphaned infant by the Kuzunoha clan and raised to be a summoner.

Raidou is a quiet, introverted sort, but will warm up to people over time. At first he will be overly formal and polite, almost cold, but eventually you might get to see his more warm and playful side. He cares very deeply about helping others. Currently he doesn't have any demons here to use in battle, and he's come from a canon point where he's failed big time and thinks he might be dead, so life has been A Struggle for the kid. He keeps very busy, a workaholic type, who can be found in the training rooms, library, or kitchen on base; the izakaya or the shrine out in the city.

CR YOU WANT: I'm always up for anything. Mostly what I want are patient players who will wait for this kid to open up to new people!
CR YOU CAN OFFER: A helpful sort, a good listener, a Fellow Teen™, a sparring partner when it comes to swords. He's also willing to teach others to use a sword if they like. He's a nice but strict teacher. No slacking on his watch. Raidou is also frequently found in the kitchen, trying to improve on his ramen recipes for the izakaya, and trying his hand at baking.

PLANS & GOALS: Since arriving, Raidou has been pretty down on himself for his failures both here and back home. Despite being a great fighter, he doesn't feel much like one lately. He's getting better about it, regaining his confidence slowly, but he's been staying out of kaiju fights for now. He's been sticking to helping heal others or doing anything else during the missions. Gotta get this boy his groove back! He's getting there!

Related to that: are you a character who is a demon/devil/god/etc. or adjacent? Any kind of non-human supernatural being? Have I got an offer for you. Raidou here is a summoner, and without demons of his own to summoner, he's been lending out his powerful energy out to those who agree to become a demon in his arsenal. If you're not familiar with Devil Summoner, it's an SMT game and the "devils" he summons are basically like the entities in Persona. What you get: a boost to your powers in battle, and maaaybe wanting to protect Raidou a little more. What he gets: a partner to fight alongside with who he already thinks will be better than him at it, and the satisfaction of knowing he's helped.

He's enchanted four roombas that he brings to missions and treats them like pets.

CIVILIAN NAME & OCCUPATION: Andreas Vesallius, works at a cat cafe. He's following the job assignment because he's SERIOUS ABOUT DUTY but we'll see how long that lasts.

CHARACTER BLURB: He's just a tsundere boy living in a Gundam world. This Gundam world in particular features tension and war between Earth's "Natural" humans and genetically enhanced "Coordinators" that live on space colonies. War sucks, peace is good, and let's use giant robots and a cast of Naturals and Coordinators working together to carve the path toward said peace. As for Yzak himself, "awkward kindness and sincerity that's honest to a fault" that roughly translates to soft words in a gruff tone, or gruff words in a soft tone. Competent, smart, skilled, prideful, loyal, a leader. Short-tempered. Competitive, crass, loud, hot-headed, jealous, easily lonely. Honest, thus his emotions are pretty easy to read and one just learns to deal with the harmless (c o n s t a n t) yelling. A great example of that character you want to punch in the face for the first half of the series for being a complete goblin asshole and would die for by the end. Character growth, baby.

IMPORTANT LINKS: He's in the speed dating mingle right over here being the worst buzzkill, but I didn't want him to be Actually Mad Even More especially after the last kaiju run-in since that upset him quite a bit since this stuff is a hot button issue for him. uwu ... of course that means it's a good op for him to talk about WHY with people so if we have CR come poke him about it a lil in his no talk me i angy corner. I'm still cool with tag ins on the TDM here as well. c:

CR YOU WANT:  Everything. Fellow soldiers, fellow pilots. What I love for Yzak are characters who can get him out of his rigid cranky box (it's truly not that hard to), so lighthearted teasers are always a chef-kiss match for him. Especially if they love reactions, because this guy Will React Strongly. Ruin his mature hardened man image (that he only thinks he has) with friendship and softness. Part of Yzak's problem is that he's also very duty-bound, so when it comes to a lot of aspects of his personal life and his future, he really needs to work on learning the fact that he should be having more say in what his own future entails! So characters who can cut into issues and drag them out of him I'm also ready for. He's been through two wars in like ~4 years and he's So Tired so please give him some nice things, or at least a handshake of understanding as to how that feels. Basically, Yzak is pretty well rounded so he can vibe with all sorts of types, let's throw these barbies together and see what magic happens.

CR YOU CAN OFFER: Target of teasing and friendship terrorism. You'll get a really attached and dedicated cat who would throw down for you as a result of this. Despite the fact that Yzak can be very blunt and harsh as much as he can be gentler when it comes to this (because it DEPENDS), he's actually not very bad at giving advice and taking on a mentor role - he's not a leader in his canon for nothing after all, and his team all looks up to him (and likewise laugh at him when he's being Stupid). Likewise though he has to deal with his OWN hang-ups so characters who he can eventually confide in and help HIM consider his own agency in his life and his future would also be loved. So if YOU like your character to take on some advice giving that will be needed for him. Help him realize oh I want to kiss my bestie, actually.

As a big soldier man, he can also teach u how to use a gun. :) Basically like above, let's see what happens! Part of the fun is that he can offer more and different things as he grows himself!

If you like giant robots he has one and you can look at it. Also plays chess and likes tea and enjoys folklore and is a little violin nerd.

PLANS & GOALS: Right now, CR and CR deepening both of which rely on me to be a quicker tagger I gotta get back in the boom zone. Also needa cash in some AC points.

Tsurumaru "Actual Agent of Chaos" Kuninaga. He's a 1000+ year old sword spirit. His true form is the sword he carries at his side. He's from the year 2205 and fights to protect history from evil spirits that want to change it. Tsurumaru is beautiful, cool, reliable, and an absolute gremlin. He loves surprises which often means indulging in pranks like digging pitfalls, jumping out from around corners, and sticking googly eyes on everything. He has attachment issues because he has sad white haired anime boy trauma but I promise he's good and actually likes most people. For the most part he's okay until he ends up in battle and gets a little too hype about getting sTaInEd ReD wItH bLoOd because he's cranekin and needs to get his flash of red some how…

Dearka is a elite mobile suit pilot and a highly trained soldier of ZAFT. Back in the day he used to be kind of an arrogant piece of shit but, THANKFULLY, LILITH has pulled him onto the team from a few years after he's learned to not be completely insufferable.

Personality wise he's a pretty laid back and mellow guy who has a healthy sense of humor. He has a tendency towards sarcasm and trolling, but he also has an excellent sense for knowing when he needs to stow the shit and get serious. He's a horrible little simp goblin and also the world's biggest troll in particular for his bestie Yzak Jule, who is also here. They share a deep and profound trust in one another on both a personal and professional level, and it's disgusting.

Side note, Dearka is a "Coordinator", which means that while he's still human, he has inherent physical and mental capabilities that surpass those of an average person. This is probably bound to come up bc the whole fuckin conflict between Coordinators and "Naturals" is like the basis of all the shitty-ass wars they've had to deal with in his world.

CHARACTER BLURB: Actually the worst, but you wouldn’t know it by talking to her. She’s fairly friendly, but also pretty private. It’s easy to learn the things she likes (movies, dogs, etc.) or about her job back home. Getting into things beyond that is much more difficult.

And if somebody does get into all that, she’s pretty awful. She can be manipulative, cruel, and is very end justifies the means. And it just gets worse. If the question arises why are the chainsaw man characters like this, odds are she might’ve had more than a little to do with it.

CR YOU WANT: I’m good with anything really. But I think Makima would gel really well with movie fans, pet lovers, other office types, people who don’t mind the occasional dumb humor sometimes at the worst time.
CR YOU CAN OFFER: Someone who’s really used to the kaiju fighting aspects of the job since that’s pretty much what her division does back home. Someone to watch movies with, to talk dogs with. She also has a dog here, a shiba named Creme Brulee, so that’s an easy CR hook.

She’s also somebody who is way too okay with whatever nonsense goes on outside of missions. Sure, she gets a little exasperated with some of Seok Dang’s shenanigans but she still just suffers through it without much complaint.

And tends to enjoy portraying herself as the normal person among Brimstone being Brimstone.

But Makima is also somebody who CR with them can go somewhere potentially awful someday. She is absolutely the boss from hell and I don’t mind working towards doing something with that. I’d just prefer it to be something longer term, she’s not in any hurry to show that side of herself much here.

CR YOU WANT: Nothing specific I can think of! He actually has an extremely varied CR pool right now that I'm very happy with, but I'll never say no to more CR. He is looking to train with weapons outside of conventional hand-to-hand combat, since unfortunately he is not strong enough to simply Punch Every Kaiju. So if your character is particularly skilled with a cool weapon of some sort, he's interested in learning from them.

Just someone who killed and killed without remorse for the praise and fame, only to be abandoned by everyone he trusted. He has a fair number of accomplishments under his belt, including curing a dangerous disease, solving an energy crisis and inventing anti-planetary weapons.

His second job is a university professor, teaching courses on advanced subjects at the leading edge of.... several fields, because this fucking man has 8 PhDs. He takes teaching very seriously, as he treats idiocy like a disease that must be cured. He's a little weird, but means well. Also a big tsundere.

- Ratio has permission from LILITH to help with their research, and it includes receiving equipment from them to set up in his—well, actually he's going to be converting Aventurine's room in Revelation's quarters into his lab, sorry Revelation people. In the near future he'll be looking for assistants who would like to help with the research! (Side note: he has a live sand worm larva hidden in his room... only a select few know about it though.)
- He also has a deal with Sampo Koski about gaining info from LILITH through more underhanded means... but that's about to backfire on Sampo spectacularly without implicating Ratio in the process (probably). Any character that is more distrustful of LILITH can talk to Ratio to learn more about what's been going on as he's been attempting to gauge how honest they are and whether they truly care for the Outsiders.
- Ratio is also looking into getting renovations done to the run down library on base! The end goal is to have to set up properly as a space for his classes and to add a lounge area so people can play board games and Uno and stuff like that. This might appear as a player plot in the near future, or as a part of the downtime mingle log from the mods. That's still in the middle of discussion, but look forward to it!
- He only recently got together with Aventurine so he's looking to spend more time with his new lover, and perhaps even be the one to invite him on a date and gift him with a present instead of Aventurine doing it all the time... Advice would be. Maybe appreciated (he is so bad at this dating thing help)

It's the simple things in life, right? Silco is a guy who grew up working in the mines, and turned to a life of smuggling and running with a gang. This life could have had a lot of potential until they all got their sights set on revolution and it ended up with Silco getting choked and drowned by his best friend. He's normal about that. 🥲 did it set him on a decades long revenge plot? Did he steal adopt one of said ex friend's daughters and put the other one in jail, did said friend's body get taken by a mad scientist and is now gonna be a werewolf? All of these answers are yes.

Silco is a codependent parent who really needed therapy thirty years ago but if you ask him he'll say he's normal and everyone else is wrong. Thinks he's the most discriminated against man alive and will monologue if given the chance. Believes in power and people who can't give up everything for power are chumps. (Though never ask him to give up his daughter for power. But it's different because... Checks notes... He's not a chump)

I'm always willing to work things out in that respect and silco can be very blind to that type of consequence until it's too late! So let's do it!

• A Shady Guy - hey, he's literally the mayor of crime city, and runs a massive drug operation slash hopping club slash council of other drug kingpins called Chembarons. Silco exudes the general energy of a shitty guy, and he's Loud about it. Theres no shame in being a drug kingpin when you live in the underground I guess

• Haters / if you need a Hater - Silco is a bitchy mean girl who hates everybody but he LIVES for grudges and negative CR. If you want a hater, he's your guy. If your character is a hater, we can mash barbies. It's always a coin toss whether or not silco will get along with a a fellow bitch or not but I'm always excited to see where it goes! I'm always a fan of negative cr, so don't hesitate!

• 😬 If you need a dad character/mentor - for some reason silco always ends up having kids to mentor or... Well he's a bad parent so let's just say manipulate. Gods of death get a pretty bad rep and it hurt her a lot because nobody before tried knowing or understanding her, just seeing her as death itself.

She can be very theatrics because she wants people to like her, and she assumes the only way for people to like her is if she's over the top like one would expect from a god. Why, I didn't mention how abysmal her self-esteem is? Though she's doing a bit better now! Just be careful not to get on her bad side because while she tends to be friendly, she is famously absolutely ruthless towards her enemies.

He's a stern, gloomy and very menacing individual with glowing red eyes who speaks like he's a hoarse old ghost and is not here to make friends.

Except....that's just the surface, and underneath the sleep paralysis demon vibes is actually a man who is sinking into a mountain of his own regrets and might have a softer heart than one could expect. Sometimes you really are a sad old man through and through..

CHARACTER BLURB: Ishmael is one of the messed-up sinners working for Limbus company, tasked to gather the so-called Golden Boughs for an unspecified goal. She was formerly a sailor - a sole survivor of an insane voyage at sea where a Whale they've been hunting down for a while had killed everyone on board. She'd been jumping from Office to Office ever since for ways to find not only survivors of that voyage, but also hunt down the insane captain that led them to their deaths and kill that bitch herself, because something something cycle of vengeance. Yes, this is just Moby Dick 2. No, she wouldn't know what tf Moby Dick is.

But tl;dr all things have been said and done, and now Ishmael is left without a purpose... but she's working on it! All in all she's a consummate professional who expects efficiency and rationality from everyone else she works with, but she isn't without her quirks. She's essentially the grumpy voice of reason in a group full of weirdos, but at the same time she's kind of a weirdo herself bc of how easily she handles the nonsensical (it's bc of trauma babey). But for all her bluster and aloofness, she sports an obsessive-compulsive neurosis - that has since greatly toned down since her Canto, but the neurosis still remains - and she is in truth bloodthirsty and violently insane... but those are normal traits to have when you're living in a hypercapitalistic nightmare that is the City, tbh.

CHARACTER BLURB: He's fast. He has an attitude. What more do you want?? It's Sonic the Hedgehog, international man of mystery. Like the wind, he has no home, traveling around the world and beyond according to his whims and helping people he meets along the way. His cocky attitude and penchant for showmanship can make him seem like a blowhard, but his strength of will is the genuine article, and at heart, he's a true blue friend, able to find common ground with almost anyone and wanting the best for most. The most dependable guy around, when you can pin him down. Impatient and reckless, but wildly courageous. Loves nature; fights to protect peace and freedom. Does poorly with authority. Hates water and can't swim.

CR YOU WANT: More non-human friends! More people around his age (15-16) to hang out with?! People who are chill or quiet whose lives he can spice up. Someone to tell him when he's got a bad idea so he can ignore them and get in trouble later. Grouchy people he can irritate (affectionately.) Sonic is super friendly and gets along with basically anyone, so if you've got a character who's not much of a talker, he's your hog!

PLANS & GOALS: as mentioned, i'm on hiatus this month, so i'm planning on taking it easy!! i'm still just trying to build up more CR with Sonic, which has been hampered by my own ironic slowdown the past month... so i guess my goal for july-august is shenanigans and maaaaybe some heroism.
