▶ WELCOME!

Hello Outsiders, and welcome to Synflux's inaugural OOC intro post! The mod team has been blown away by everyone's enthusiasm towards this game and are excited to go on this kaiju fighting adventure with you all.

Below are a couple of announcements, along with a schedule of upcoming events.

▶ Given that December is traditionally a busy month for most players, there will be no AC this month. Enjoy your holidays!
▶ Please respond to the taken list if you haven't already. The mods rely on the taken list to maintain accurate player count.
▶ We've made a small change to AC/Reward Points: TDM / Simulation logs are now worth 2 points per tag. Network and player-created logs are still worth 1 point per tag, and mission logs are still worth 2 points per tag. More information can be found on the ACTIVITY CHECK and REWARDS pages.
▶ There will be a text mingle going up on December 15th that will serve as our monthly event. Players who find themselves lacking things to do are always welcome to make use of the game setting to post their own open logs
▶ As a reminder, the game's schedule is bimonthly, with first month focusing on CR building opportunities, and the second being on fighting kaiju. We will begin this schedule next month, with January being a CR-building month and February being our first monster fighting month.

NAME: kain

ABOUT YOU: when you're being mean to me this is who you're being mean to. i'm just a terminally eepy guy with two cats who's very passionate about the things i love so i don't shut up (see: this fucking ooc intro goddamn why is it so long). aspiring mortician.

IC INFORMATION.
CHARACTER: Wanderer.
CANON & CANON POINT: Genshin Impact + post 3.6's event Parade of Providence.
TEAM: Brimstone, a.k.a the inflammable team.
CIVILIAN NAME & OCCUPATION: Name is undecided as of yet, since he'll go by whatever people name him. Hearsay has it that he might be the mysterious dancer who can be found in one of the shrines farthest from LILITH's base, but the dancer's identity is unknown, for they are said to hide their face behind a katsugi.

CHARACTER BLURB: A nameless puppet who goes by "Wanderer", for that is how he best describes himself. A man with no kin, no home, and no destination... though he has been forced to go to school at the prime age of, uh, ~480 years old, give or take.

He used to be very full of hatred and very very mistrustful, until he learned the worst part of his life was a lie schemed by a sick, crazy doctor... so he tried to erase himself from existence to undo all the bad things he had done both directly (because he was Very Hateful) and indirectly (because he was in people's lives). All it did was make the entirety of the Genshin Impact cast forget about him, save for maybe like 2 people. 3 if he's unlucky. Cool.

He's way more mellowed out now, and most of that hatred turned into... self-hatred. He still has a bad personality, but he's just trying to get by in life.

CR YOU WANT: I thrive off negative CR becoming positive CR the most, and considering Wan-chan's bad personality... it works well. He pushes people away like it's his full-time job because he genuinely believes no one could have a good experience meeting him, plus he's so bad at small talk he actually says he has "nothing good or fun to say". Thanks dude. That being said:

✦ Anyone who isn't human is definitely the #1 CR I want the most!!! Wanderer struggled so much with not being human for all of his life, so he'd do well with people like him. He's so full of issues that having someone who Gets It would do him well.
✦ "Personal Space? Don't Know Her" people. Wan-chan doesn't like being touched and you need to go through his Social Link for him to actually stop being so hostile all-bark-mostly-no-bite at you, but I want him to be annoyed, so the cheerful, jock-type, Are You Stupid Or Is It Just For Show people are absolutely welcome, thank you.
✦ Trauma bonding??? Broader call than The Inhuman Gang, because he'd also do well to meet people who have gone through similar. Wan-chan was abandoned by his creator/mother (because she's very bad at feelings and communication, which runs in the family), Supposedly Betrayed and Allegedly Abandoned by his first friend Niwa (proven to be a lie he believed for Many Years, so add gaslit to hell and back to the list), self-proclaimed Abandoned for the third time by a child who was terminally ill, so it was less the child's fault and just him realizing every single human will eventually abandon him because they are, and I quote, "powerless before their mortality", which's another reason for him to push everyone away. He has also certainly committed murder, was experimented on Many, Many Times, piloted a cool mecha robot Pseudo-God i guess? but isn't the most proud of it. Can you tell he has issues.
✦ Above all, friends and found family. He could use them. Yeah he'll be emo about it probably because half y'all mortal af but, it's fine. He'll have to come to terms with it. Deep deep deep deep down, Wanderer is a very kind-hearted, gentle and lonely boy, but the world is Hard and Cruel. Maybe one day, he can be fully honest with someone. It could be you. :)

CR YOU CAN OFFER: ❓❓❓ Do you want a tsundere cat who barks a lot and mostly doesn't bite? Because he's your guy. In all honesty, Wan-chan is a somewhat easy CR to have on a superficial level since he believes relationships to be transactional. You do something for him, he'll do something back, and so on. Here's his resume, please hire him:

✔ Can cook.
✔ Can sew.
✔ Can make weapons.
✔ Can clean... kind of. But he can.
✔ Good with animals, children, and the elderly.
✔ Can fight and doesn't mind sparring.
✖ Will tell you to (4kids voice) Keep Yourself Safe if you annoy him.
✖ Legit tsundere. Hard to befriend.
✖ He's not allowed to board planes because the amount of baggage he has exceeds their limit.
✖ Somewhat easy to anger if you press the wrong buttons. He will bite if that happens.

PLANS & GOALS: At the cost of making this intro longer than it already is:

✦ I really want Wan-chan to be forced out of his comfort zone. Nahida did it by forcing him to go to school, but now that he's... certainly not in Sumeru, I want to find something new for him to whine and complain and be uncomfortable about but do nonetheless. This can be done in a lot of ways, so I'm open to ideas.
✦ I want him!! to make clothes!! SO BAD. He can make plush dolls, but I'm sure he'd be able to sew clothes easily. I'd love for him to give his CR some clothes here and there, and yes of course he'll be a tsun about it, so just shut up and take it ok.
✦ I'd love to have him work on his issues tbh... there's so many. The abandonment issues, the mommy issues, the Everyone Will Die Before Me issues, so on. I'd just love for him to have someone he trusts enough to talk about these things with them, and honestly. He has never really talked to anyone about them - at most, Nahida, the Traveler and Paimon just saw a recollection of it in a VR-style dream. But him actually speaking of it would do him well.
✦ GIVE HIM A NAME!! NAMES???? Wan-chan is very lax with names at this point, and it's kind of inconvenient not to have one, so call him whatever. But if you wanna make it Cute and Meaningful, it'd be nice to build enough CR to name him something actually genuine... I might keep a list of names people call him, tbf.
✦ He's going to end up with a fuckton of cats in his apartment because they keep following him and he hates it. Take them. Please.
✦ I want him to lose a limb or two or all four during a Kaiju fight so he's forced to rely on someone to carry him. Wouldn't THAT be humiliating. Since he's a puppet I assume LILITH can put him back together, but I'll eventually ask the mods about it. . .
✦ Don't talk to him about Childe, he doesn't know him, they're not neighbors, he wants nothing to do with him. What the fuck.

yes!! i've been very bad at getting back to tdm threads (i've been lowkey sick orz) but tsuru telling him about the thousand cranes wish made me feel a thing or two. who doesn't love ye old sentimental tdm threads am i right

but also!!!! the belated realization wanchan could actually do maintenance on tsuru's sword since he has experience with smithing... i can't wait for him to unlock tsuru's social link and find out he's a sword, only to have wild ass flashbacks to the days he spent literally making a fuckton of swords with his first ever friends LMAO.....

but also, the hilarious idea of wanderer watching wolfwood kind of big brother him because he looks young and is tiny, but then he ones up him on that because he's so much older LMAO... i've definitely talked with a few people about the lucky few unlocking wanchan's big brother-esque, caring side, but the opposite being done to him is cute... he has issues with parental figures so this could have potential. ugh. cute!!
