Hello Outsiders, and welcome to this round’s CR meme and OOC intro post for new players.

Below are a couple of notes, along with a schedule of upcoming events.

▶ As a reminder, Outsiders will soon be traveling to a brand new destination this month as part of our midmonth CR building event! Looks like we won't be in Neo-Tokyo anymore, Toto.... This will provide characters to temporarily house with others so start thinking about who you may want to be room mates with even if they are not on your team.

CHARACTER BLURB: tao has been through quite a bit but she's coping very well about it. this stoic, chainsmoking glutton is fairly blunt whenever it is she does decide to open her mouth, and it only gets worse with those she's more familiar with. usually polite-ish unless the other party is a jerk first then she goes full mafia thug.

oh, and she's the guardian (adopted big sister) of a 15 year old half-calamity that she works with in her troubleshooting agency that they run out of an office-apartment above a chinese restaurant. also they're part of a calamity hunting organization and she's always wearing a glove on her left hand to hide a prosthetic. you know how it is.

CHARACTER BLURB: hunter here is from the demon realm, he is a maladjusted child soldier and teen prodigy known as the golden guard! though currently on the run and just a tad skittish for reasons. i wouldn't worry about it. having grown up as a soldier and conditioned & manipulated to serve the big bad, he is a friendless upstart with poor social skills!! also kind of snarky and short-tempered, but with a heart of gold (tm) also a nerd. has never had a good night's sleep in his life. spoilers for owl house, he is a "grimwalker", the latest in a line of many, many, many, many, MANY clones the big bad made of his brother and then killed when they couldn't stand his evil deeds anymore and turned against him. haha yikes! he also has a cute bird friend!!!! and apparently an annoying voice.

CR YOU WANT: CR YOU WANT: cop out answer: everything!! but it's true. friends, frenemies, haters, teammate shenanigans, shenanigans in general, big brother/sister/parental types, mentor types, younger sibling types! bullies (good natured or not!) teach him how to sew because he's terrible at it. teach him what a hug is and how to do high fives. he still doesn't know what these things are. he barely knows how to interact with people his own age. also definitely want to deepen current cr!

CHARACTER BLURB: He's fast. He has an attitude. What more do you want?? It's Sonic the Hedgehog, international man of mystery. Like the wind, he has no home, traveling around the world and beyond according to his whims and helping people he meets along the way. His cocky attitude and penchant for showmanship can make him seem like a blowhard, but his strength of will is the genuine article, and at heart, he's a true blue friend, able to find common ground with almost anyone and wanting the best for most. The most dependable guy around, when you can pin him down. Impatient and reckless, but wildly courageous. Loves nature; fights to protect peace and freedom. Does poorly with authority. Hates water and can't swim.

CR YOU WANT: i just got here, so let's trot out the tried-and-true Anything. Sonic really does get along with almost anyone, and rarely holds grudges: try to kill him one day, and he still might team up with you the next! (Within reason.) If you have a grouchy character, a sad one, or one that's just plain bad at talking to people, Sonic's your guy...!!
CR YOU CAN OFFER: little blue hedgehog that mouths off a lot but he's cute so you can't get that mad at him. Annoying teenager who can outrun a jet plane. Guy who is totally fine with being teleported into another world to help save it! Exercise buddy?? He'll slow down for you.
PLANS & GOALS: He's the type of character that's more static rather than dynamic, so I'm mainly interested in helping facilitate the growth of others through his CR. Of course, I'd also like for him to do some cool heroic stuff...! That's his job.

ABOUT YOU: MST, office worker, you may occasionally see workday tags. Plurk is mostly tm (fgo and fsf mostly, mahoyo now too I guess), honkai star rail, chainsaw man, and x-men stuff but assorted other comics too.

CHARACTER: Makima
CANON & CANON POINT: Chainsaw Man, she’s been updated to the end of chapter 82!
TEAM: Brimstone
CIVILIAN NAME & OCCUPATION: Alex, she’ll be quitting her concierge job to a dog trainer. It’s a big step for her, she’s never changed jobs before. But she's found her calling.

CHARACTER BLURB: Makima’s a relatively sociable but also private person. Friendly enough, but somebody you could talk to forever and mostly just learn assorted trivia about her. Likes movies, dogs, suits, former supervisor for an office that did basically what everyone’s doing here. Nothing too exciting.

She can definitely pull her own weight with the kaiju stuff but good luck getting her to show or tell what she does if she doesn’t have to. Even if the reasons she does so back home don’t matter too much here. She still likes keeping a few secrets just in case.

And that’s all probably for the best, Makima is very much the opposite of this. Learning more is ill-advised.

She’s also used a few of the AC rewards to recreate her usual standard of living, so she’s usually in a dress shirt and takes her car out regularly (and probably doesn’t go anywhere, she just likes being driven around while she people watches). A room hologram may not be far off to add to that.

CR YOU WANT: I’m good with anything really. But I think Makima would gel really well with movie fans, pet lovers, other office types, other people who don’t like sharing their deep dark secrets.

CR YOU CAN OFFER: Someone who’s done this before and against arguably way worse things so she can talk shop with. Someone to watch movies with, to talk dogs with. To maybe hang out with her dog Creme Brulee, she likes introducing him to people. Somebody who is way too okay with whatever nonsense goes on outside of missions.

But also somebody who CR with them can go somewhere potentially awful someday. That’s more of a long term thing and not a necessity though! But Makima can be manipulative, cruel, she has no problem sacrificing others, there’s a lot to dislike if CR gets past all the superficial layers.

PLANS & GOALS: I don’t think I’ve got any major plans in the works right now. Definitely open to tentative roommate plans!

CIVILIAN NAME & OCCUPATION: Vera Dostoevskaya, resident food reviewer and brand new and upcoming fashion model as a side gig.

CHARACTER BLURB:

• A tall woman with many mental/emotional layers that is made due to growing up in a shit world + personal trauma
• She's very confident, prideful, easy-going! The moodmaker of the team! She is also very chill to the point that some folks don't take her seriously and find her lazy, but she is very capable on many things. She knows when to play the right cards at the right time.
• Deep down, she's masking up her lonely, guilt-filled, cold heart yet there are moments where her somber+serious side breaks out.
• She is very fight capable with some good natural strengths and she has access to manifesting magic weapons from her mind that sometimes also makes her go berserk under great mental stress.
• Loves food, money, gambling, booze, and goofing off. She got to cope somehow.
• Yes, she's basically Project Moon's take on the protag from Crime and Punishment and twisting it up a bit.

CR YOU WANT:

• More Friends is never a bad thing, but more folks where she can get in trouble with/do random shenanigans/etc. is a plus!
• Negative CR is possible, even if it takes a lot to make her hate you + you might be on her personal rob list.
• Younger characters that she can play a mom/big sister role on.
• Fellow fighers, feel free to spar with her if you ask or make a bet with her-
• People who are familiar with death, died several times, and/or are aware of multiple universes, believe it or not, she has some experience with that.

CHARACTER BLURB: I'm reusing this-- March 7th is a very energetic and cheerful young woman who was found floating in space in a chunk of ice and has absolutely none memories of anything from before that! She feels some kind of way about it, but likes to act like she's totally okay because absolutely she's okay (she's been called out on this on occasion, but she's okay)! Her hobbies include shopping, taking photos, enjoying delicious food, speaking her mind without fear, and trying to stop being amnesiac! Also she's good at ice sculptures. And ice shields. And shooting ice arrows. Ice.

CR YOU WANT: Always everything, gimme the fellow amnesiacs and ice-users and people who like photography and people who can't handle extroverts, and literally anyone

CR YOU CAN OFFER: March is an extrovert and so if you have someone who needs to be dragged out of their shell, even if unwillingly, she's really very good at being persistent. Also, has Sampo Koski terrorized you personally? Join her support group. She did get a healing upgrade about a month ago so she can be called upon for healing services and is a big fan of getting involved in other people's business with the best of intentions.

PLANS & GOALS: She and Malkuth are co-founders of a photography club and they're always recruiting, if anyone would be interested! She's slowly learning to let people closer to her beyond the Astral Express crew, since none of them are here. Oof.

I'd like to have her use her healing abilities more often now that she has them and otherwise just largely working on strengthening her current CR pool but also getting her out there as a greeter for the newbies. She's here for you! All of you!

Really into Honkai Star Rail (and Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact), action games like Devil May Cry and God of War. I also love Persona and Fire Emblem, and a bit of the Fate/ franchise. I watch anime sometimes like JJK, Spy x Family, and slice-of-life shows like Yurucamp. Outside of RP, I do boxing and Muay Thai, and just love martial arts and fitness in general.

CIVILIAN NAME & OCCUPATION: Arashi Kiryu, police officer. Though that might change soon! She is looking to quit being a cop and do something else, since being a cop is too much like her old job.

CHARACTER BLURB:

Tags: Tsundere, Tragic Backstory, War Criminal, Military Veteran, Super Soldier, Samurai, Katana User, Telekinesis User, Sci-Fi, Redemption Seeker, No Social Skills, Power Hungry, Likes Cute Things, Big Eater, Dog Lover, Artificial Human, Already Dead, Antagonist.

The enforcer of her tyrannical father's will, Shizuka is a supersoldier for a human-survivalist (or supremacist) group call the Elevas where she serves as their strongest warrior. She is one of the clones of her father's original daughter Ayame, who Shizuka got her powers from. Overshadowed by Ayame's heroic reputation and forever unable to fill those big shoes, Shizuka was manipulated by her father to wage war against alien species throughout the galaxy, hoping to get his approval and to live up to Ayame's reputation. However, this war was actually acts of genocide in the name of human expansion. Fear of her father made Shizuka continue her conquest even as the act was eating away at her conscience. She lost her twin Satsuki from this continuous war, making her guilt even worse. Shizuka meets her end where she was stopped by a woman named Sofia, a successor to Ayame that the heroine herself chose, and Shizuka's arch nemesis. Shizuka was killed by Sofia in a duel, dying with the wish she could have done better in life and a wish to earn a chance at redemption.

CR YOU WANT:

Friends in general, or just acquaintances who can show her a little empathy and compassion. Shizuka had it rough in life, with only her twin sister and a dog as her friends, combined with a terrible upbringing and a singular purpose of killing people. It played a big part of why she is so grim and have low self-esteem. So people showing her that life isn't all terrible would mean a lot and do wonders for her outlook in life.

Rivals. Shizuka is a highly competitive person in life, less so now that she's dead and with no authoritarians breathing down her neck, but she loves a good fight and respects other people that are strong fighters, or just strong-willed even.

Mentors. She has much to learn about, well, everything. But someone who can teach her social skills, how to better control her impulses, swallow her pride, and conquer her insecurities. Someone just teaching her a new hobby can be great too! She loves manga and fashion, so I was thinking she would like to learn to draw. She'd be like a kid scribbling awful pictures and any artists in the house would know how frustrating and discouraging that can be, so help her out? Someone who can be good counsel would be great as well, give her advice and sort her emotional woes out.

Also I'm a sucker for shipping, but I know it's gonna be hard to do with her. She might self-sabotage or back out completely if someone else is interested in the same person she's infatuated by. But someone who can make her appreciate her own good looks, make her feel more confident in them, or help her find love sounds both cute and hilarious.

Drinking buddies. She will pick up a nasty habit of getting so tanked to drown out her feelings. She is a weepy drunk so getting some alcohol in her is a good way to get her to confess certain things she normally wouldn't. Like her past.

Students? Not sure if that's the right word exactly but Shizuka doesn't see herself as smart (years of being told she's an idiot, made her easier to control), but she does have something to offer especially when it comes to swordsmanship and fitness.

Someone who can cook for her, give her a portion of their rations, or just bond with her over lunch and snacks. Food is one of the things that makes her put her guard down and a great way to ease your way through her barriers. You know what they say, best way to someone's heart is through their stomach. She'd disagree and think it's actually the 4th and 5th rib, but you do you.

CR YOU CAN OFFER:

A grump with no tact. Will call you an idiot to your face. Negative CR is fine and would probably come easy for her, until she gets better. Any "I Can Fix Her" types are free to do that with her.

Sparring partners. Shizuka will frequent the gym and the simulation room, and is always down to fight. She is meant to be really strong and dangerous, even with the nerfs and I'm not very experienced in writing PvP fighting so bear with me here. We can plan things a little beforehand and you're always free to tell me if I'm doing something wrong. We can do PvE team-ups if you prefer, too, that would be easier.

Potential villain? It's too early to say but as much as she wants to turn over a new leaf, old habits and being raised as a soldier comes easier for her. It's really easy for her to slip and turn to the dark side again, so she can make for a good addition to any villain team-ups. She's not gonna be starting it, she's always been more of a follower.

That said though, she can lead teams in battle. She's an army Captain with years of battlefield experience, she knows how to come up with strategies and use the strengths of her teammates to their fullest potential. She's fought monsters and kaiju before, so this wont be her first rodeo when it comes to that. However, she's never worked with vastly different individuals with their own unique powers and experiences before too. So that's gonna take some adjusting.

PLANS & GOALS:

Becoming a sword instructor as her new day job is my only short-term, specific plan.

The only long-term plan I have is that vague idea of her being part of a villain group if anyone is ever interested in rebelling against LILITH.

Maybe have her fall in love/get a crush/get some action.

I'm pretty open for plotting and I don't want to make too many plans.

CHARACTER BLURB: What if I just copy and paste my general RP info here since my brain is vibrating into space due to coming home to an acceptance e-mail immediately after seeing the SEED Freedom movie again. He's just a tsundere boy living in a Gundam world. This Gundam world in particular features tension and war between Earth's "Natural" humans and genetically enhanced "Coordinators" that live on space colonies. War sucks, peace is good, and let's use giant robots and a cast of Naturals and Coordinators working together to carve the path toward said peace. As for Yzak himself, "awkward kindness and sincerity that's honest to a fault" that roughly translates to soft words in a gruff tone, or gruff words in a soft tone. Competent, smart, skilled, prideful, loyal, a leader. Short-tempered. Competitive, crass, loud, hot-headed, jealous, easily lonely. Honest, thus his emotions are pretty easy to read and one just learns to deal with the harmless (c o n s t a n t) yelling. A great example of that character you want to punch in the face for the first half of the series for being a complete goblin asshole and would die for by the end. Character growth, baby.

CR YOU WANT: Literally everything. Fellow soldiers, fellow pilots? What I love for Yzak are characters who can get him out of his rigid cranky box (it's truly not that hard to), so lighthearted teasers are always a chef-kiss match for him. Especially if they love reactions, because this guy Will React Strongly. Ruin his mature hardened man image (that he only thinks he has) with friendship and softness. Part of Yzak's problem is that he's also very duty-bound, so when it comes to a lot of aspects of his personal life and his future, he really needs to work on learning the fact that he should be having more say in what his own future entails! So characters who can cut into issues and drag them out of him I'm also ready for. He's been through two wars in like ~4 years and he's So Tired so please give him some nice things, or at least a handshake of understanding as to how that feels. Basically, Yzak is pretty well rounded so he can vibe with all sorts of types, let's throw these barbies together and see what magic happens.

My idea for his cat cafe job is since it was designated to him he does NOT want it, but as a human who will want extra funds he will want to stick to his cover story because he is THAT dedicated, so will deal with it. Enjoy either techy or holo cat ears as part of his uniform that move with his mood. All CR will be welcome to come and laugh at him. (but please compliment his tea making and good service :( or he'll dump the tea on you by "accident" or throw a cat at you)

CR YOU CAN OFFER: Target of teasing and friendship terrorism. You'll get a really attached and dedicated cat who would throw down for you as a result of this. Despite the fact that Yzak can be very blunt and harsh as much as he can be gentler when it comes to this (because it DEPENDS), he's actually not very bad at giving advice and taking on a mentor role - he's not a leader in his canon for nothing after all, and his team all looks up to him (and likewise laugh at him when he's being Stupid). Likewise though he has to deal with his OWN hang-ups so characters who he can eventually confide in and help HIM consider his own agency in his life and his future would also be loved. So if YOU like your character to take on some advice giving that will be needed for him.

As a big soldier man, he can also teach u how to use a gun. :) Basically like above, let's see what happens! Part of the fun is that he can offer more and different things as he grows himself!

PLANS & GOALS: I failed at making a top level in the TDM so I am already feeling WOEFULLY BEHIND. CHARACTER BLURB: Just the sleepiest little guy. This is not entirely a joke, he usually prefers to avoid work over doing anything productive and tends to either sleep/drink/get high or a combination of all of the above... but this is largely due to the nature of his previous work, where he couldn't do anything he actually wanted to do and hated his job. He is, as far as he knows, an AI created to oversee LobCorp's Safety Department, and has never had any choice in his contribution to The Horrors in there; over time, this has worn him down and left him pretty hopeless, but at heart he does want to help people. He just hasn't been allowed to. Can be a little difficult to deal with for people easily frustrated by aimlessness or laziness.

He is also currently a robot! For the most part, Netzach will be using cloaking and has the appearance in his icons, but his actual body is biomechanical, so you might see this little metal guy around. (I say little but they're not far from human height, this is like, 5 feet tall.)

CR YOU WANT: Other people who've done jobs they hate who can commiserate, nap buddies, people who will drag him out despite his complaints, people who will befriend him, other people who work in tech-based medicine who can maybe teach him. If you're interested in mechanical beings that's a possible opening too! He's a pretty different type of machine, though, for people who are used to ones that don't... you know... have organs inside there. Also other people who have addiction problems.
CR YOU CAN OFFER: The chill friend, a guy who will just say things when they need to be said, someone to encourage you to sit and calm down and relax, an 'I can fix him' project, a drinking buddy. He'll be interested in learning about how he can help out here-- his department oversaw some of the company's medical tech, but of course that won't directly translate.
PLANS & GOALS: Further character development! He's someone who's been pretty beaten down by his circumstances, so this is an opportunity for him to do what he actually wants to do (help people instead of watch them die). My overall goal is for him to start moving past that hopelessness and past trauma, and eventually deal with some suppressed memories and figure out his identity going forward. So far, he's been getting more used to the idea that maybe things aren't so hopeless here; he actually does what's asked of him by LILITH, for the most part, and wants to be able to heal when he can (aka once I get the points).

Short term plans: he is a robot with addictions, and he's likely begun needing to turn to new sources without the substance he came here with, so that's going to be a thing for him (though this will not come up out of nowhere in threads). Good chance he'll be looking for leads on finding something new while trying not to let anyone who he knows will worry about him know about it.

Longer term goals include: listen, I am a simple person with simple desires, such as basically all tropes included in getting involved with someone who doesn't have a human body. Nothing is likely to work out until he manages to get some memories back but it's on my bucket list for this guy.

Lobotomy Corporation was constant suffering for everyone involved, and in Synflux, Malkuth has given him a basic overview of the Library. He's doing better than he was not long ago and in his first life, though. Sadly, he can't pursue his future yoga and stretching hobbies while he's stuck near the end of the box era, and the cloaking device makes him look like his past self.

CR YOU WANT: Developing existing CR further and building new CR. He's still fairly new, so genuinely anything that happens through interactions. I always welcome opportunities to push him out of his comfort zone as well, and the chance for these (former or otherwise) boxes to expand their horizons and have all sorts of experiences that the constraints of their canon circumstances don't allow. If it happens over time, further complicated Feelings would fall into that category, too.

A few other long-term goals would be investigating the kaiju threat's origins, questioning shady methods, and maybe looking into canon updating at some point, depending on how things progress.

CHARACTER BLURB:
Dearka is a elite mobile suit pilot and a highly trained soldier of ZAFT. Back in the day he used to be kind of an arrogant piece of shit, and could most often be found trailing after his bestie Yzak, acting as his one-man hype crew and egging on some of his worst tendencies. But EVERYTHING CHANGED WHEN... He became a POW haha oops. While in captivity he learned to stop being fucking racist against non genetically modified humans, and then he kind of incidentally stuck with his captors and peaced out from ZAFT for a while because he decided he was actually not a fan of the whole, uh, genocidal angle they were taking. He went back eventually once there was a regime change, though he got demoted for his insubordination.

Thankfully, LILITH has pulled Dearka onto the team from a few years after he's learned to not be completely insufferable, so he's much more pleasant to be around now. Personality wise he's a pretty laid back and mellow guy who has a healthy sense of humor. He has a tendency towards sarcasm and trolling, but he also has an excellent sense for knowing when he needs to stow the shit and get serious. He and Yzak remain besties, and they share a deep and profound trust in one another on both a personal and professional level.

Side note, Dearka is a Coordinator, which means that while he's still human, he has inherent physical and mental capabilities that surpass those of an average person. This is probably bound to come up bc the whole fuckin conflict between Coordinators and "Naturals" is like the basis of all the shitty-ass wars they've had to deal with in his world.

CHARACTER BLURB: Ishmael is one of the messed-up sinners working for Limbus company, tasked to gather the so-called Golden Boughs for an unspecified goal. She was formerly a sailor - a sole survivor of an insane voyage at sea where a whale they've been hunting down for a while had killed everyone on board. She'd been jumping from Office to Office ever since for ways to find not only survivors of that voyage, but also hunt down the captain that led them to their deaths and kill her herself, because something something cycle of vengeance. Yes, this is just Moby Dick 2. No, she wouldn't know what tf Moby Dick is.

But tl;dr all things have been said and done, and now Ishmael is left without a purpose... but she's working on it! All in all she's a consummate professional who expects efficiency and rationality from everyone else she works with, but she isn't without her quirks. She's essentially the grumpy voice of reason in a group full of weirdos, but at the same time she's kind of a weirdo herself bc of how easily she handles the nonsensical (it's bc of trauma babey). But for all her bluster and aloofness, she sports an obsessive-compulsive neurosis - that has since greatly toned down since her Canto, but the neurosis still remains - and she is in truth bloodthirsty and violently insane... but those are normal traits to have when you're living in a hypercapitalistic nightmare that is the City, tbh.

CR YOU WANT: It'd be cheating if i say i want EVERYTHING but it's true...
- i want MORE friends for ish since she's making an effort to make them now, though she won't outright call them one at first because of her own abandonment issues (all her friends are dead at sea) (this is not a spoiler it happened in moby dick)

CHARACTER BLURB: Your local Goddess of Death with the self-esteem of a dead turtle and anxiety troubles. Because she's been forced to stay in the Underworld since she came into existence, Ereshkigal suffers from severe abandonment issues. She thinks of herself as unlikeable and her only sense of self-worth comes from trying to be a "perfect goddess." She can't help but compare herself to her sister, so her definition of a perfect goddess is exactly the opposite of said sister. (In truth she admires her sister and wishes she could be more like her, but admitting it would be admitting she's a failure and she can't do that)

She'll never say it outright, but she's desperate for affection.To try being hip and cool with the kids, you'll often see her doing dramatic introductions and over-the-top stuff that are the definition of "uncool." She's super anxious and puts a lot (too much) of importance in her image. Which is why she'll crumble upon waking up in a maid attire.

Most of this though, she tries to hide - with a moderate success rate. She's smiling more often than she's crying, which is a start! Because she's a goddess she (tries to be) is somewhat prideful and will react very poorly if insulted or mocked. She has a very dark side to her and can be extremely dangerous if pushed. Alternatively, she may just as well crumble into a pile of self-loathing. It depends on the day.

CR YOU WANT: Moar friends! Her confidence is being slowly built up by her friends she's made, and she needs more! She's not going out often, so people who push her out of her comfort zone are 200% loved. Or who encourage her to pursue her dreams.
