▶ UPDATES.

With the increased player cap and number of open player slots, we decided it would be a good time for another ENABLE ME meme! As usual, Reserves will open at midnight GMT March 1st on a first come first serve basis, and Applications will open at midnight GMT March 5th. Here are some updates for this upcoming application round:

▶ We currently have 26 player slots available. This number may go up after Activity Check is processed at the end of the month.
▶ As stated in the Feedback Post, we will be processing all current applications in queue when Reserves open. This is so we can provide an updated player slot count for all new players when applications open.

hi i posted to the emp back in november but holiday season grabbed me by the throat... now i'm back looking to app with this edgy son.

rider is a mysterious and imposing ancient warrior completely suited in black armor, wielding black lighting and a long sword. rider is a Servant — an extremely powerful magical familiar summoned from the beyond in service of a mage. in fate/sr, rider is the servant of yui shousetsu, and together they form a team who opposes the protagonist's in a battle for an all-powerful wish granting device.

in classic grail war fashion, rider's identity is not revealed until the end:

rider has fashioned herself as the renowned monster slayer minamoto-no-raikou, but in reality she is raikou's demonic aspect, the oni demigod ushi gozen. ushi gozen believes the only way to correct the world's wrongs is by utterly obliterating it. y'know, the villain thing. she's already equipped with her own plugsuit and everything.

PERSONALITY TRAITS: dedicated, serious, ruthless, efficient, calculating, knightly, unrelenting, deadly

HOW WILL THEY REACT TO BEING IN THIS SETTING?:

honestly, rider is going to fit right in despite being ancient as hell — i mean, just look at those neon highlights. rider will jump right into the monster slaying while most likely secretly biding time to learn about the truth and problems of the setting and bring those sorts of things into question. sorry, though, teammates, if you're looking for someone personable and friendly to chat with; rider is like a killing machine who's only polite on the surface.

WHAT CAN THEY PROVIDE TO LILITH'S TEAM?:

power, plain and simple. rider is an indomitable, expert swordsman with the ability to tame and ride most any sort of beast. unflappable and headstrong, rider is an old hand at monster slaying and carrying orders (especially killing ones...) out thoroughly and efficiently. surely nothing can go wrong with having a teammate so damn good at killing things

INFORMATION: info page here, but the gist of it is that she's a mean, green, lean killing machine. lae'zel is a githyanki, which are an alien race of people who are super militaristic and brutal. she was infected with a brainworm that's going to turn her into a monster, so she's in the process of getting rid of it!
PERSONALITY TRAITS: stubborn and mean 😔 very "the weak don't survive and thats NOT my problem" vibes. efficent, cruel and harsh but incredibly loyal and soft to those she cares for.
HOW WILL THEY REACT TO BEING IN THIS SETTING?: badly 🙃 if she had a nickel for every time she's been kidnapped and a foreign object was put in her eye, she'd have TWO whole nickels. she will not be a happy camper, but that doesn't mean she won't put in effort!! she'll actually be very determined and motivated to do what's necessary to survive/return home, and will see other characters as sharing her plight. however, she will be highly skeptical of LILITH and will not trust them/may actively hate on them rip 😔
WHAT CAN THEY PROVIDE TO LILITH'S TEAM?: big can of whoop ass, tbh. lae'zel's people are hardened warriors and are trained to #slay from the moment when they hatch; she has spent her whole life living ruthlessly and killing monsters (and people. dw about it). she'll take missions very seriously, and will try to keep others' focus sharp (through force if she has to!!) she has fought a lot of monsters so she has experience to share, too!

INFORMATION: Shousetsu is a samurai hailing from Edo period Japan. Shousetsu's canon is the latest game addition in the Fate series where mages (known as Masters) control spirits of heroic legends to win grail wars. Shousetsu here is one such Master, determined to use her tactical skills and righteous sense of justice to make sure she wins the war to obtain the omnipotent wish-granting vessel.

Spoiler for Shousetsu's wish:
She is a self-described "liberator", seeking to rectify the wrong-doings of the world and create a truly equal society.

PERSONALITY TRAITS: Principled, honest, noble (perhaps to a fault), a little naïve, self-sacrificing and resolute.

HOW WILL THEY REACT TO BEING IN THIS SETTING?: Obviously the fact that she's not in Edo (she was in the middle of a VERY IMPORTANT RITUAL/WAR!!) will be very alarming at first. Shousetsu isn't the type to try and make a reason appear out of thin air, however. Understanding the state of the setting would be Shousetsu's first and foremost concern, and depending on what is readily available to her she'll force herself to adapt and become useful.

WHAT CAN THEY PROVIDE TO LILITH'S TEAM?: Along with being a skillful mage with knowledge of magical spells she also runs a military academy under the shogunate. It's safe to say that Shousetsu knows her way with a sword and can come up with meticulous plans needed to move forward with missions. Because of her high standing in the game's setting she also knows how to speak to high-ranking officials and the like.

INFORMATION: i'm sorry to try and bring a sports to fight things but i'm here for the struggle!! haikyuu is about volleyball, that's the summary, and kageyama is your classic overly talented Rival type except he's accidentally on the same team as the protagonist. but yeah, shounen sportsguys are intense and sometimes you want to introduce them to a little violence and tragedy to see what happens?
PERSONALITY TRAITS: shitty teenager who is 10/10 at volleyball and 0/10 at communicating with other people. stoic sometimes and awkward always, sillier and more ridiculous than he looks but genuinely trying his best. critical and overly honest, but learning the power of friendship (and not being a huge dick) along the way.
HOW WILL THEY REACT TO BEING IN THIS SETTING?: probably not very well! maybe a bit of an existential crisis tbh! but he's young, competitive, and doesn't like being bad at things, so he'll adjust. gotta get home for volleyball reasons also, damn

PERSONALITY TRAITS: intelligent, two-faced, manipulative, selfish, unstable, self-destructive, misguided
HOW WILL THEY REACT TO BEING IN THIS SETTING?: On the one hand, he hates anyone trying to control him and tell him what to do, so the whole AU-kidnapping isn't going to sit well. On the other hand, he kind of has a complicated relationship with the concept of a "hero" and getting a mission that is 1) clear 2) somewhat violence 3) theoretically well liked for saving humanity might actually appeal a lot to him! Also he's from modern day Tokyo so he's going to be very annoyed at it being all messed up
WHAT CAN THEY PROVIDE TO LILITH'S TEAM?: Akechi has a Persona, a summonable monster that's part of his psyche. He uses this to fight monsters! Usually smaller monsters but sometimes big boss battles. So transitioning to kaiju is gonna be pretty easy. He's also a skilled strategist and detective, both able to come up with plans and sniff them out. Even if he's mean he can grudgingly play nice on a team.

He acts like a silly little guy but he is stuffed full of secrets. His secrets have secrets. You want to reach into the pages and strangle his skinny neck all the time, actually.

HOW WILL THEY REACT TO BEING IN THIS SETTING?: It'd be a vibe, tbh. Reiji does this kind of thing at home all the time. It's just that instead of aliens, it's kaiju. I'd write more here but my brain is sludge and I'm trying to finish this before I disappear for plans.
