[IF YOU HAVE TO ASK... Thankfully Katsuki will be spared any horrific outfit experiences worse than the maid outfits. ...for now. Who knows what this place may throw at them later. With any luck, Yato's attire will remain strictly PG13 for the sake of everyone's sanity. (Maybe America? If anything could withstand a kaiju outbreak, it's probably D*sney.)]
For you, too, hopefully. [Otherwise, what's the point? Honestly, getting to attend human events such as birthday parties is one of the highlights of being here. He's learning so much and living vicariously through others' experiences. Even though he's over a millennia old, he's never once had his day of birth celebrated. His father certainly didn't think him deserving of such a loving gesture.]
I've had worse~ [He has, too. Dummy's eaten letters before, like the total weirdo he is. More importantly, he waits quietly while Katsuki handles the wrapping paper and ribbon. For a moment he bites his lip, worried that it might be tied to tight or that he'll need to ask for help... but no-- he manages just fine, much to Yato's relief. Immediately, his expression softens.
He knows Katsuki has a calmer, more calculated side, so he's not shocked that the kid doesn't ravage the packaging. And he's familiar enough with him to realize that the silence immediately following the reveal speaks volumes. And he can see the way his lips curve up. A success...!] Right?
