[ When Silco begins to respond again, Jinwoo wonders why he bothered staying. There's nothing more he needs to hear— not from Silco, at least. So he turns to head for the door. His footsteps pause when the rest of Silco's words curl around him like smoke. There's something in the toneβsmooth as ever, but layered. Jinwoo's not stupid. He hears the implication loud and clear. Money talks, and the organization he'll be relying on while he's here isn't exactly swimming in resources.
He glances back over his shoulder, eyes narrowing slightly. It's not the first time someone's tried to bait him with the promise of better pay. He doubts it'll be the last. ]
