He hasn't felt right using his title since his failure at home, and every day since being here makes him only resent it more. Add on what just happened in the dungeon, and in the last few days here in the base... How can he call himself a shield for others when he's been hurting others?
He looks at that hand for a moment, hesitating, before he decides to take it. Because right now, he needs an anchor, sometime to keep him from drifting away in all these insecurities. He just wants to help others. How can he do that when he can't even help himself?
Raidou's head and shoulders drop, squeezing his eyes shut, and that hand tenses. He's having a hard time holding everything in lately, and doesn't know how to let it out. And now it's coming out in dangerous ways - like attacking fellow Outsiders, because his fight or flight mode seems to be stuck on "fight" ever since that dungeon rescue.
Part of him wishes that someone would just tell him what to do, but no one can, and no one should. He needs to figure this out on his own, or he never will.
