[Amazing how similar the two of them are in that aspect. Raidou trained to expect his own strength worthy of bearing worry burdens from others, a strong and proud soldier who people look to and see strength, a symbol of hope others can draw relief and resolve from simply by being who he is.

Katsuki resonates with that very idea as heroes were to be the same. While he didn't agree with Best Jeanist's way of conveying it, the man taught him about public image and how civilians view heroes. Yes, they gather results and amazement when they kick the shit out of villains, but a hero should also wellspring the thought "I'm safe here" in anyone who sees them simply out and about on patrol.

Weakness of any kind doesn't bring that feeling to people. How can they feel safe when the person the look to for strength is crumbling? Heroes are those who stay strong for others who aren't as able to. Yet... yet... the hard question many people like them don't think to ask or even answer is... When heroes are suffering and weak, who steps in to save them?

No matter what Raidou feels or how much he runs, he's already connected to the hearts of others who care for him. Friends who will run after him despite distance or yelling, and-- regardless of how bloody or tight fisted it is --take his hand.

Friendship's a fucking chain, isn't it.]

They're on the other side. [He indicates with his toothpick the glow of orange to the eastern end of the festival.] Aa.

[And bites into the hot ball of batter, octopus, and sauce. He's not here to talk if Raidou doesn't want it. Katsuki's never been much a conversationalist over nothing. He's content to simply stand beside his friend and support him like this.]
