We are two podded seeds, as they say. [two peas in a pod. ] Even some who have good claim to the title of warrior have shown they are unused to such scale of destruction. It is not something I wish for them to grow accustomed to, though they may have no choice.

[ And that actually legitimately bothers the big lizard. He likes pretty much everyone he's met and feels a particular protective streak towards the younger ones. Watching them grapple with the reality of what failure in this war means has been disheartening.
